Neopets, a little game where you get your own pet, shop, etc. My friend still plays it and he's 13 years old.
Now come on, he's a guy and he's 13 and still plays Neopets??? Anyway, the topic here is, do you agree that Neopets sucks? It is a girly little-kids game that sucks really badly. Do you agree?

It doesn't really matter as long as the people participating have fun. I checked it out once. No I didn't enjoy it.

Id probably still be playing it somewhat if the admins didnt ban me for accidently hacking LOL. I hadnt logged in in months and just checking my pets and I forgot my acc info, so I log in and It was on some other guys account lmao. My pet was uber, like lvl 19 which is low but had like 40 skills gg. But ya its kinda boring after a while, I just liked the mini games, they were cool. Oh and on another note, OPer, stop bashing every god damn thing possible because no one cares about stupid peoples opinions. Especially when all they do is make flame bait topics.

Neopet's is okay, I used to play it a few years ago when I was (a lot?) younger. You're basically doing the same thing as you did in the kiddie games topic, saying that all kiddie games suck. Well, FYI the games we play probably suck from a kid's point of view.
Games for other age groups don't suck, they're just aimed at different age groups, therefor you really don't have that much of a right to go bashing it.

I never liked NeoPets because I was too lazy to play the games, was too damn poor and had to feed my pets at the soup kitchen like a fucking hobo. Plus I never understood the combat, so I forgot about it.

Same with me.... I couldnt understand the fact i was getting killed in minigames by people 3-4 years younger then me too.

Well the tons of people who go on ARE mostly younger than 13, and it's targeted at kids younger than 13. They won't market Doom 3 to 5 year olds, however they will market NeoPets and stuff.

And no the game never really pulled me in, even though I did try pretty damn hard when I was 9

I made my first account when I was 10. It was loads of fun for 3 years. It did get boring though.

Every now and then I log on to play their games. Hella addictive, though most are just ripped off from old school games and such.

Well, i'll admit it... I played Neopets this year. I'm 13, it was pretty fun for a while, but it got kind of pointless after an hour. I would just go to random slow-loading places, get a bunch of free shit, fight in a crappy Turn based combat thing, and then go to that stupid wishing well thing. I want an hour of my life back. My 11 year old friend wanted me to play it, so I did.

there are two types of neopets players...

The 10 year old:
"COOL CHRIS PLAY THIS GAME IT'S SO COOL YOU GET CUTE PETS AND I WISH I COULD HAVE ONE BECAUSE THEN I COULD PET IT AND THIS IS A RUN ON SENTENCE AND I DON'T KNOW WHEN TO STOP TALKING BUT NEOPETS IS SO FUN AND CUTE AND COOL AND FUN AND YOU NEED TO GET IT AND AND AND AND" *passes out*.

Teenage girl:
"aww these pets r so cute im gonna dress em up n show them 2 ppl becuz they r so cute n little. I wunder y more ppl dont play this game i dunno wuts wrong with them."

So well that's my opinion on it. It's actually mildly fun for an hour or so. After that, you'll start wondering why you're looking at some browser based, image linking site.

I agree with the bold statement. However, in my book, I don't believe there is a "certain age" for any game regardless. A game is a game, if you like it, good for you, if not, that doesn't mean you're *too old* or *too young* to understand (in some MMOs that could be an exception due to lack of comprehention at younger ages) but the real point is whether or not you enjoy a game, not whether or not you're too young to understand it.
