I thought the movie was okay. I decided to watch it after playing the game.. I think some of the "gamer" things where awkwardly forced in, such as the pee bar in that one scene.
Scott goes and takes a piss, a Pee Bar pops up and drains itself with 8 bit sound. Not sure if that was really necessary.
The Seinfield bass and high fiveing vegan police where excellent though.

i would like to say its my new favourite movie and shits all over the wankfest that was the expendables (sorry it isn't 1988 anymore, actually.. it doesn't even have the class of most of the films made back then)..

Yeah, I know what you mean about the gamer references. I have a feeling though that a bunch of those graphics were from the comic which I believe the director tried to stay true to.
Other than that, I really enjoyed it. It's a movie I wouldn't mind seeing again.

This move surprised me by being good. I didn't mind the video game references and I kinda guessed it was from the comic. Overall I liked the move a whole lot and will probably see it again.

Seen it twice. Loved it both times.
What did it for me was the little moments, though; the director (who also did "Shaun of the Dead" and the British sitcom, "Spaced") was the right fit for the adaptation.
It was admittedly a little weird seeing Michael Cera kick that much ass, though.

I really did.
