I haven't been able to go to the movies since I got fired and became broke. Is Predators any good? I've always loved the Predator movies.
I really don't care about artistic integrity, it's an action movie and should be appreciated as such. Does the story/special effects/violence justify the price of a theater ticket or should I just wait for a good quality version to pirate?

Tom Cruise pulls it off better. When Tom Cruise plays an action hero he plays it to his own strengths (not a huge brute, but a small quick guy. Relies almost as much on smarts as his ability. not saying he's smart, but it's how he looks and how his characters act). Brody just feels wrong.
I also did not like how stupid everyone was too. Not so much int he getting away from the hunters, but specifically with the doctor. From the moment he was introduced I was like, "They sent a dozen of the best killers in the world, and a doctor. Does something not seem fishy about that to anyone else?"
I also wish they spent more time developing the predator vs predator thing instead of making it just the one last fight

AVPR wasn't too bad, it was like a 21st century teen slasher, lol. But it did feel like I was watching a crappy c-movie movie on the sci-fi channel, except with better special effects. The first avp movie was awesome though.

Agree'd, he does this..voice which just sounds aweful.
And the best part of the trailer, where he is standing there and like 40 predator lasers appear on him, never happens. APparently Arnie had a cameo but they didn't show it?

I skipped the opportunity to watch this and saw Dinner for Schmucks instead, that movie sucked! Not as funny as I thought it would be. It had funny moments, but thank god I used a free movie pass.
Good thing I have more free passes. Now I just need to convince someone to see predators with me...

That happened. I can't remember 100% when (I think the first time they were in the camp with the tied up predator), but I remember it happening.

That's a different scene than was shown in the trailer though. In the trailer, it happens in the scene after laurence fishburne dies and they've left his ship. Right before the convict guy is killed
EDIT: Also this movie is inferior to the original as it lacks a manshake
