Ok, I for one am not happy with this game, one reason look at this.

I play guitar myself anyway, but its just how they are making it from a thing you can just pick up and play where you don't have to remember the notes for the song and is easy to play, to where you actually have to learn the song and learn how to play the guitar.

I probably will get it, but, I might as well just learn some songs I want to instead of playing a few songs on a game which I probably won't like.

One plus side though, the song he is playing is a Dio song, so, yay, at least a good song I know in the game icon_smile.gif

Also if you know any more info like released date etc or videos, post them and ill add them to this post.

EDIT: Just read that you have to use one of the two guitars they have made specifically for the game, which again is annoying because I would rather just plug in my real guitar and play, yet they say that the guitars they have made work in the game, as well as a real guitar which you can plug into an amp, so I doubt I will get this now cause I can't be bothered to spend, what, 70 or more for a guitar which works on the game and a real amp, when I have a perfectly good better guitar now.

Bloody stupid game developers :|

My fear are the n00bs who are going to be all like, "Yea I'm pretty good at guitar........I can play Bohemian Rhapsody on expert on Rock Band 3"

Everyone's gonna be an "expert musician" after this

In agreement with everyone else, I just want the keytaur. Maybe I'll actually be able to use my keyboard after playing this one.

I'll get it cuz I like the drum pro-mode icon_smile.gif The guitar's probably a good approach but it will cause much more noobism in "guitarists" thinking they can play guitar :\

So wait, if you can play Rock Band 3, you can play real guitar?

So Rock Band 3's just basically entertaining learning software now?

They want to make people think they can :| I mean it's a good approach but I don't think it's "properly executed"?

whats the hate on this? fantastic way to learn to play the guitar imo, its ridiculous to flaunt in peoples face like "herp derp i can do expert" but as someone who doesn't play this definitely appeals to me as a fun learning tool

Miyamoto said that millions of people would rather pick up a remote control over a joypad. He was right. So he made his Joypad look like a remote.

Millions of people will pick up a Video game controller over a real instrument.....we've seen that already with GH3, RB2. Bridging the gap my friend. icon_razz.gif

A reason for why I don't like Rock Band 3 is that you can't pick up and play now, so for example two days ago I went on rock band 2 for the first time in maybe a month ? and I went on Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark on Expert and did like 97 or 98% something like that, with rock band 3 you won't be able to do that, you will actually have to spend time learning the songs, which is just a pain.

then just play the old games? there are so many different versions and dlc to keep you happy with the old stuff but how can you expect people to accept the same shit over and over again?

Yes, but single player gets a bit boring, and there aren't that many people online now, which means when RB3 is out Online will be non existent.

Do note that the string system applies to the pro-mode icon_razz.gif I mean I guess a lot would go for it but given that you have to buy the madcatz controllers, I don't think it will be immediate that people will be going pro-mode.

Also, no stance on whether real guitars could be used?

One thing I don't like about this is that, in real guitars, you could "cheat" the note/chord; if sometimes its too fast, you could find another way to actually make the same sound. Wit this however.... well nevermind....

I wouldn't mind it as much if I could use my own real guitar, but from the looks of it you have to buy either the squire or the madcatz one.
