We've all heard about how often WoW gets hacked. Or how someones account gets hacked, has all thier shit sold and thier toons moved servers or some shit. A few minutes ago I recieved THIS email from Blizzard:

I myself have an authenticator, and already love the "extra security" but there have been issues in teh past where they were able to trace the log in page and the authenticator number and log into thier account and do whatever.

Do you feel your account is safe?

It would only be good if it wasn't in such blatant, terrible engrish. Still funny though, I wonder how many people get scammed like this?

Not sure how other email carriers work but with gmail if you click the more details link it specifically says hotmail.

Example (I archived several since I get emails like this about once a week):

QUOTE
from Blizzard Entertainment <wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com>
to cadetduke@gmail.com
date Fri, Mar 5, 2010 at 11:22 PM
subject World of Warcraft Account Management
mailed-by hotmail.co.uk

I feel perfectly safe and since I do have an authenticator I ignore every single one of these emails.

Honestly, to keep your account safe:

Don't go on dodgy shit...You don't need authenticators and all this.

Oh and don't tell people your pass.

Same here. It's really not that hard :/

It's rather simple. K0RRUPTED is the smartest 15-year-old in existence and is fucking with all of us.
Or he's Gillz's younger brother.

I've been playing WoW on and off since 2005. I never got hacked once. As other people said, it's not really that hard.

To those of you wondering - The email came from "Noreply@blizzard.com"

I was wondering that Blizzard was hacked and everyones private information was leaked - Thus getting me Email but what the fuck.

is what I got when I was totally smashed playing WoW. I was inebriated to the point I was going to click it but I decided I would just wait until I was sober to think about doing anything with it. Glad I did.
