Everyone's gonna hate me for saying this, but damn, I love Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Not even trolling. Every time I bring up that I like Pabst, I get these beer hipsters on my case talking about obscure fruit-fusion microbrews that nobody knows. Don't worry, I've heard all the jokes, my favorite being that PBR is canned by bartenders who wipe down the bar and wring out the rags over cans of Pabst.

Tastes good to me and it's dirt cheap.

If Pabst aint available then I'll go for a Guinness, the new Black Lager is pretty good.

I really enjoy Angry Orchard, it's not beer but it's always hidden in with the beers at the store. :teehee:

So many people drinking Guiness.  I was always meh about it but I stopped drinking it the second I found out that it has the same alcohol content as bud light.

My go to beer was, and contiunes to be, Yuengling.  I'll also accept a brass monkey.

I just enjoy a Guiness once in awhile. I won't drink it all night, though. If I want to do that, it's usually magners or Pabst.

That's just sad.

There's more to a drink than its alcohol content.. besides, if getting pissed is your aim, what are you drinking beer for? :|

Max, I'm not sure if you've partied over here but you first have to understand that the US has a weird obsession with Irish Pubs.  That's 90% of the reason why people here drink Guinness.

And those Guinness drinkers assume that since it's dark, tastes like crap, and a stout that it must also possess the same amount of alcohol as other stouts.  So therefore it's ok that you can only physically drink 3 of them before you get full because at least then you'll be hammered.  I know this because every person I've ever talked to who says they enjoy Guinness does not believe me when I tell them that it has the same amount of alcohol as miller lite.

I might have a skewed view on this matter because at college there was a irish style bar on campus that I used to go to a lot.  Everyone in there is looking to get hammered.  But you always have some douche that is drinking a Guinness.  And the vibe he always throws out is 'You peasants can drink your light beers.  I on the other hand will show off my classiness and pure drinking prowess by selecting their finest heavy beer.'

The bottom line is there's tons of stouts better then Guinness.  Not only do they taste better but if you had the desire to, you could get hammered off of them before you become full.  And that's why when we discuss Guinness I must bring up the amount of alcohol in it.

To further elaborate on my position I give you this picture for your consideration.

PTrain speaks for Chicago US as well (where i'm from).  What says rings true regarding a weird obsession with Irish pubs
