My mic is kinda fucked, so I'm seriously considering the walmart one, and I get a free game with it. Decisions decisions.

If your mic is on its way out, you may as well get the one from walmart. A little more expensive, sure, but the mic + game combo make it worth it, imo.

as much as I would love to, I don't have a job as I just finished school. I am not going to work minimum wage full time as a college graduate.

And not to point out the obvious flaw, but don't you think if I enjoyed PC gaming as much as I enjoyed console gaming I'd have posted in either HW/SW or one of the many PC centric forums available on this very website?

money is money friend. You could spend months before you even get a job in the field you want. working at 10 bucks an hour for 8 hours a day is 80 dollars? no? A full week of work (40 hours) will land you 400 bucks. 4 weeks will land you 1600 bucks. Thats enough for a decent rig, but clearly, we want to go all out Besides as a college grad you could probably be making $14-16 bucks an hour. It depends what your doing too. My friend makes 20 bucks an hour for watering plants for the city. He didnt even graduate highschool

I finished finals last tuesday, moved home on thursday, didn't get a job by sunday; therefore I am sitting on my ass not being proactive with my life.

Excuse me for wanting to play some games after not being able to play them for 3 months because I was taking 21 credits to graduate early. Thanks for turning this into a PC vs console/you're horrible at life thread...

it's opportunity cost. I have the money for it, but I have little enough money to make the $20 difference significant enough to make it a 50/50 choice on my part.
