Apart from getting dropped from the stream every 5 mins and missing the Idra vs Orb games, I've been really really enjoying it.

I was very amused by this today. Some great matches, I had no idea who to root for since I've never followed Starcraft. Very glad I randomly came across the announcement for this the other day.

Just watched Control vs Nazgul, obviously rooting for Nazgul because he's the euro icon_razz.gif

That proxy from control was never a good idea

And I just watched the 1st half of Nony vs Moon...

Christ he likes his spine crawlers.

Re iNc vs Naz: Yeah I was rooting for Naz too.

I don't think the proxy was a bad idea, particularly after he lost so many (6 iirc) probes to Naz's Zealots. I mean, he had to do something to get back in to the game, and the timing was pretty spot on, considering Nazgul was just expanding then, but he controlled the units so poorly. I'm guessing that he was too focused on FFing his own ramp so that Naz couldn't get up, so he didn't bother targeting anything of value with his sentries in Naz's base.


Re Moon vs Nony:

Yeah, a lot of sunkens, which would have been fine if he'd actually used his mutas instead of just dancing them around waiting for Nony to make more Phoenix. He had a great window of opportunity but just threw it away because he didn't commit to the harass. If he had done some economic damage, he could have macro'd up a force to hold off Nony's push, with support from his spine crawlers. That amount of crawlers isn't terribly unusual in ZvP these days.

Ok it wasn't so much the proxy that was the bad idea but considering how all he wanted to try and do was kill probes (which he fucked up on) I didn't think he needed so many sentries, a couple of gateway units would have been fine then he wouldn't have been so vulnerable at his main.
