The overtime period in Vancouver was some of the most exciting and open hockey I've seen in awhile. Man, what a finish.

Ovi was shut down.
Remarkable play from the canadians, but are they going to be able to do that 3 more times?

and new jersey just failed horribly. Offense and defense.
BUT MAN.... Kovalchuk? That skate by himself was SICK too bad no goal..

I wonder how he got the stick out. Did he need help?
he looked like he was a fish out of the water after play left the zone icon_razz.gif

Kovachuk isn't a team player lol. He needs to learn to rely on his teammates if NJ has any shot of winning the cup...

Based off the first 2 games (1 in some cases) I think it is still way to early to tell.

That being said some teams will not win we can maybe agree?

Sanjose has just SUCKED so much in the playoffs this year and last 3. If colorado can get 5 goals off of less than 20 shots there is a problem.
If they don't pull it together they will never win the cup.

Other than that anyone could go through

My pick would be vancouver as long as luongo performs. They have the edge over washington (my pick for east) because of goaltending and solid offense

I like Colorado in the west. Didn't see the Nash/Chi game. I had high hopes for Chicago though. Don't know who in the east, maybe Buffalo or Sens.

What a performance by Craig Anderson against San Jose. 50 save shutout.

What a goal by Dan Boyle against his own goaltender, less than a minute into overtime.

2 fluke goals, 2 wins for Colorado.

Some questionable calls, and non calls and 1 win for San Jose.
