My pecs are a little uneven from where I constantly benched.
I just prefer dumbbells in general. A lot easier to spot yourself, I get a better intensity from them aswell. But everyones different.

It's best to use both. Especially if you plateau with one.

Yeah most people do more benching then dumbell pressing, I think I was told you do 88% of your bench press when you dumbell press.

I did some fun circuit training today in gym class that Seth would enjoy. It involved doing squats with weights on those balance pads that have half a ball underneath them. Along with a few variations on pushups/chinups. The rest of it was cardio so I doubt he'd have liked that.
I should say what we have to do when we're doing strength some day, although because we are mostly cardio for my program it might not be till next year.

Doing squats on a half balance ball is not really that beneficial. Better to just squat flat footed on a flat surface. Well, in my opinion anyways.

We mostly did them for fun I think. It was hard as fuck with a 30lbs medicine ball on those balance balls.

I saw one of the personal trainers in my gym training a girl with a swiss ball. I just think overall it's better to perform all your lifts in a natural fashion. You're still strengthen your stability and balance without the ball.
It's a good introductory exercise I guess, but would never do it myself or train anyone else with it.
Speaking of squats - I cut back the weight and started doing 5x5 to regain strength so I could perform heavy lifts with great form, however, now that im back to heavy ass weight my stability still blows which after a few reps takes it's toll on my form. I need to strengthen my hamstrings and glutes more, as I believe it's the root of my problem as I am not getting enough hip drive on the heavier squats

Do you stretch before you exercise? I find when I stretch my hamstrings first I can preform better in excercises that use them.
