By this you mean bench press, right? Not dumbell press (as in a 55kg dumbell in each of your hands)?

You're beasting if it's dumbell press. In fact, i'd find that hard to believe, haha, biggrin.gif .

lol, Dumbell press.

A young man once said, that if a man who went by the name of Ghost claimed to be able to dumbell press 55kg, he would find it hard to believe.

The young man still stands by this.

Haha, i'm sure you can appreciate my scepticism, since that's a fuckton of weight.

*Goes to google to convert units*.. fuckin imperial system..

holy shit, 121 pounds? So you're lifting two teenage girls. That's cool. I think I lift 90 pounds on that machine that's roughly equivalent to doing pullups?

Oh yeah, thanks to Plasmic Fury for that last post as well.

Okay I am getting in shape again. For skiing for now (going at the end of this month) so concentrating on core, legs and cv but will start other areas. Doing body weight excercises for now. Got a good background in this area (parkour) so may not need too much help but will pop back for a few qq's. Started on quads and core yesterday resting today. Twisted my ankle last week so laying off the running for now but hope to start back to that this week.

I'd kill my shoulders trying to do 120lb dumbbell press (no chance in hell I could do it). I prefer a barbell any day though.

You muthafucka, man! I want to go skiing so bad, but there's basically 0 chance i'm going to make it out this season. Enjoy it, but be careful exercising for it, since it'd suck so hard if you injured yourself prior to going.

I can only max 20kg dumbbell shoulder press at most icon_redface.gif But dumbbell > barbell imo.

Yeah I know that was why I was pissed about my ankle but should be fine to run on in a few days. Only twinges now if I move it in a certain direction. Uni ski trip which was super cheap meant I could make it out.

How long you been trainning, what supplements do you take? Just whey shakes?

All i'm taking now is 2 protein shakes daily, and vitamin tablet.

120lb dumbbell press is damn impressive. If I had any pain in my shoulders or it felt awkward doing it causing bad form, I would lower the weight. Getting a bad shoulder injury could take you out of lifting for a long time.

I'm sure ghost is well aware of this, but just saying for anyone else trying it.

These are my overall aims atm.

Dumbbell chest press; 30kgs each arm. Currently 22.5kgs set of 10.

Dumbbell Shoulder press: 25kgs each arm. Currently 17.5kgs set of 10.

Once I reach these goals, fuck knows what next.

Will take me ages as doubtful I'll reach 30kg each arm unless I seriously bulk up sometime soon (which I'm trying).

On regular training days- whey and creatine, BUT stick with the plans plasmic gave you, he eats much cleaner then I do, especially when I dont have a fight coming soon.

I don't normally workout on 120 for the reasons you stated, but I can now because I dont need to fear injury because currently dont have any fights coming up.
