Probobly not going to do friend invites anymore.

And me an my 2's partner Railor rape plat. :] 8th place atm 17 wins 7 losses. Terran/Protoss. Times we've lost; Protoss building 2 gateways in my base at start of game. Double terran reaper rushing my protoss partner zerg fast ling + reapers on my protoss buddy...

Get the picture? We can't beat cheese and it seems like every other asshole tries to cheese us. Except my protoss buddy is good at preventing some reaper cheese now. He likes to block barracks and he likes to sit his probe right where the tech lab goes and just keep it there while I quickly get my own reaper to counter. Works bad ass imo. it was funny the one game they lifted off the barracks an built it outside of the base on Deceda or whatever.

I didn't think it would be but thought I'd ask lol. The game keys register to my account anyway so I was wondering even if it didn't can't I just register my game key and download a UK version of the game?

EDIT: Nevermind, I went to the site and they won't ship it to the UK icon_sad.gif

EDIT2: OoOoOo they'll ship the collectors edition though. Gotta wait a few days til I've got the funds seems I just spent £300 on 2 ounces of weed :\

EDIT3: Luckily enough for me, Supcom 1 which I ordered two weeks ago arrived today. Would have been here sooner but it came from Canada (I didn't notice when I ordered it) and the damn ash cloud stopped all the airplanes! Anyways its NTSC (which is what america uses aswell) and it worked completely fine so I think its all good to order StarCraft 2 CE icon_biggrin.gif

I've played a total of 6 games (split, 3-3). I don't enjoy this nearly as much as SCBW, or really enough to keep me playing right now.
And like that, he was gone.

I haven't found banelings to be useful at all, I've also never seen anyone get them. Just seems like a waste when you could get roaches instead. Yesterday was my first game getting ultralisks actually, they were pretty own.

Banelings are good against terran for breaking down their wall, just get a few banelings out and destroy a supply depot, and then just send in zerglings to the mineral line, then its gg.

The most effective way to use banelings imo is to burrow them pre-emptively at choke-points, or even in mineral lines (for example - in the mineral line of an un-taken expo) if you want to get really cheeky. Because they can explode while burrowed, it seems like the surprise tactic is the most effective.

Any time I've used them without getting burrow, I've found them to be largely useless for large-scale battles as they get focused down too quickly.

edit - Woo! 2000th post!!

Hmmm, I was hoping to make this a bit more epic, but.. oh well.. whatever.

Why would you burrow in the mineral line, just burrow where you build the expo and they can't even expand. I've been using infestors a bunch, 8 second hold and 36 damage aoe is pretty nice especially against air or choke points. Their mind control type ability seems kind of useless, it only works on ground and there usually aren't any big ground units to use it on, it's fun to take SCVs and probes though.

True, but you can do more damage if you wait for them to transfer their workers first, rather than just delaying them a bit and forcing them to expo elsewhere or forcing a scan or a turret.

There's also the psychological damage that you can inflict by having them lose all their workers in a second, with no warning.

Edit - Also, by waiting for them to expand first, you give yourself a nice window to do a timing-attack, while guaranteeing economic damage.

You could do both actually, burrow like a zergling on the expo spot, and then some banelings like in the corner, they probably won't notice them. Delaying their expo a few minutes I would say is better than just letting them get an expo and killing some workers. If it's protoss or terran they'll probably put up cannons or turrets right away, so you probably wouldn't even get the chance to hit their workers. If I get burrow I usually get like 6 zerglings and just burrow them at every expo.

Yea true. It's definitely nice to burrow lings on the expo spots.

The only problem I can see if you do both is that any player who scans the expo will probably end up killing the lings and the banelings at once, so you've sacrificed a bunch of units just to delay them for a bit.

Another thing I like doing, along with the burrowed banelings in the mineral lines, is having an overlord spewing creep on the expo. I know this is a common tactic to delay expos, but usually I find that players don't expect anything to be burrowed there as well. They usually just think that the ovie is there by itself, so after killing it they feel a bit safer about expoing.

Actually, no. It's better to let the make the building, kill workers, then move in with your army and finish off the expo. They lose, somewhere around 600-700 minerals that way.

If you're able to do all that you've probably already won the game anyways. I would say it's very very unlikely that they won't get cannons or turrets or defend their expo, and if they don't they're probably terrible and you're going to win no matter what.

If they get canons and turrets they're wasting money. Why would a terran get turrets unless his opponent is abusing mutalisks? Why would a protoss get cannons? Those are huge investments. I only use my army to protect when I expand and that's all I need, because if you need something other then your army you're spending anywhere from 500(5 turrets) to 850(5 cannons plus pylon) to defend it. An I can think of a much better use for those minerals then spending them on an expo that wont be hit because my army is pushing theirs around the map. An if they have the spare resources to be building small harrass you're still going to be behind because again. He's probobly going to build 3 mutalisks at most or a couple lings(which turrets wont do shit for). He'll see the cannons ect, and he'll piss off. So you spend 500-850 to keep 400 at max minerals away?? Not worth it, not worth it at all.
