Thanks, but I drove out to gamestop one more time today and they had it! Its pretty awesome, I'm completely amazed at how far I can see and how nicely everything runs. Its a huge step up from clear sky.

Actually, I think people play CS:S because they like killing 12 year olds who use their parents work computers and that's the only game they have/can play - or the "Die Hard" cs:s fans who have been playing the same game for over 10 years now. To be honest, I think CS:S is one of the worst FPS' today, and I wonder why people still play the shit out of that crap game.

I mean, I have never played a game that is easier to get a headshot in. CS:S sucks, sorry fan boys, but the game is old, outdated and just crap. Get out of your bubbles and play some better FPS'. Numbers doesn't quantify a good game - it just shows the sheep fan boys following the herd. The same goes for Starcraft, Korea has kept that game alive - that doesn't mean there aren't better RTS'...

Yeah you kinda killed yourself there. You said no one put any effort into their arguements but you should try looking at your own. CoD4 is only hard to get headhots in because the headshot detection is shitty as hell. It and MW2 even more so are piss easy games compared to CSS and filled with way more of these 12 year olds you seem to be on about. CSS is a great game. The long term numbers do mean shit because it means it has held up a long fanbase with relativiley few changes. That's a sign of a long time popular game if you hadn't noticed.

And you think starcraft is shite too. The reason it's held is because it's the best RTS for competitive play and by far the most balanced. I dont' even like it myself but I can easily see that. Try thinking through your arguments next time, especially when you're calling competitive games easy coming from the recent cods.

BC2 is fun yeah but damn the hitreg drives me fucking rage sometimes... I'd reccomend right now for COD games either COD4 or CODWAW cause those were ok but MW2 and Blops are shitty.. mainly MW2 cause of all the shitty rape combos and the ridiculously small maps.. I hate how my system can run Crysis 2 so well yet Blops runs like shit is my main problem with that game.

DICE have never managed to get hit reg right in a Battlefield game. Here's to hoping they don't fuck it up in BF3 so it can actually be the best Battlefield.

tanks double-fire on my pc yet only one shell comes out or they don't show a shot being fired but my tank or an enemy's tank just took damage lol...

That used to happen to me and people thought I was crazy! The worst is when you sneak up on someone and try to stab them 5 times just to have them turn around and shoot you without taking any damage.

Since we don't seem to have a BF3 thread...

Some new info I found on TL:

- Hitboxes are much improved in comparison with BFBC2.
- Recoil is really hard and needs to get used to.
- The closed betatest for MoH owners will be held but no word on date yet.
- There will be ingame VOIP.
- The anticheat system is PunkBuster.
- There are three slots for weapon customization.
- Character customization will be up but no word on details.
- BF3 will be greatly optimized. DICE is willing to optimize it for all platforms and hardware.
- System specs won`t be “fantastic”. They will be reasonable.
- The feeling of BF3 is truly different. It`s not BF2 and not BFBC2.
- BF3 will be highly cybersports-oriented.
- There`s no final decision about commo-rose at DICE.
- There`s closed area at DICE office where people work on unannounced project
- Battlelog is a web-application for BF3.


Points 1, 2, 8, and 11 make me happy as FUCK. Might go back to competitive BF even.

Hard recoil? Good. Then people will start to appreciate CS/S more, and not write it off as shit because it has recoil. And no more fucking snipes from 500m+ with a machine gun.

All I want from this game is a fucking good Wake Island map, and less sound card related issues, and Ill be happy as fuck.

Nah, BC2 was really just a console port to give the PC base a taste of the BF franchise again. The game was completely terrible for eSports and made me want to rip my hair out every time I scrimmed.

Yeah, basically. In-game VoIP is basically standard with every FPS, so it's kind of an unnecessary point.

That's basically the OPPOSITE of why they did it, lol. Removing prone simplified the shit out of the combat and made it more CoD-like. Probably because of the whiners from BF2 who endlessly bitched about dolphin diving.

I remember back in the BF2 days people were complaining about snipers + prone, can't remember exactly why.
