they limited it shitloads, made it really linear and gave it a crap ending
They didn't limit it 'shitloads'. They limited it so that its noticeable. But what is there is all cool.
Also it is linear in terms of mission structure, but the stories of each mission add to keeping it feel fresh.
The ending was not crap, it just wasnt as shocking as usual bioware games.
I loved this game.

i'm not completely finished but I must say I like this for what it is. I am mainly an FPS player, but I have a few other genres that I like to play as well (which this game is easy to play since it is still FPS to a point) such as sports and rpg's.
Anything with an amazing story always gets great points for me. Hence, my opinion of Assassin's Creed is better than what most people would have rated it because I enjoyed an original and complex story. (Now AC2 is undoubtedly good, but that's a whole other argument).
Fact of the matter is, you don't have to agree with Plasmic's review. But, if you want to try to rate it I encourage you to make an alternate review. Plasmic is just doing his best to rate games so that others will know whether or not the game is worth the investment. I have to agree with Plasmic for a majority. I haven't yet finished the game, so I can't accurately rate the game yet.
To summarize, Mass Effect 2 is fun and is worth the price paid.

Well, i do pay for my games. Gaming industry and my favorite music artists get my full monetary backing. I want people that make good games to make enough money to have an incentive to continue making great games. Same with artists.
That's why I preordered Natural Selection 2. Backing the indie dev team.

Ya, it just feels like a slower start than the last one.

I really didn't like how they nerfed all the RPG elements. If they want to put so much emphasis on the combat then they should have better controls. I have so much trouble getting the fucker to take cover and jump over things sometimes. I also feel like being the non-brute force classes like adept and engineer is harder because of how they nerfed things. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, I just expected more of a RPG then a stiff TPS.
I also hated how they assumed you killed Wrex and the council. I saved both in ME1 and it was just weird being told I didn't.

Adept and Engineer are sweet classes, you must be playing them wrong.
I don't think they 'nerfed' it so to speak, they just made it too simplistic. You can go through the entire game without upgrading once if you wanted too. A lot of the fun I get out of Bioware RPG's is decking my character out in all possible upgrades and gear so that I just kick everyones ass. I didn't feel that same buzz in Mass Effect 2. There is so much good about Mass Effect 2, especially once you get half way through the game and I really wanted to give this game a 10 because I had so much fun with it, but I cant help but be disappointed with how they handled leveling/upgrading/armor etc.

Haha same here.
It's fun but it seems like it's going to be impossible on Insanity. Playing on normal my first time and it doesn't take much to die. I died in Freedom's Progress twice, and it was the first real mission of the game.
