hi all,

a mate showed me http://www.legouniverse.com and it looks pretty interesting.

it is probably aimed at primary school kids, which is fine, because our excuse for playing will be to help our kids increase their micro.

it is not out yet, but there is some kind of pre-release puzzle-thing to work on, which helps explain the story, etc.

anyone else watching this as it develops?

yep, i watched a couple of gameplay videos on this because the premise caught my eye. the guy in the video was saying how its aimed at all ages, but who knows. looked pretty kid friendly obviously but then that doesnt mean it cant be good, i suppose.

something he kept repeating was how you have to 'use your creativity to solve problems', but this wasnt really demonstrated as the only bit of building he did was some pet bat, but it seemed a lot like it was totally superficial rather than there was any great advantage to be had by being 'creative', which is what i had hoped for. but i'm keeping an eye on it yeah, seems pretty original.

fingers crossed for building lego castles and fending off hordes icon_smile.gif

The alpha was great, but the censored chat was so bad...

Words are added to the filter so you CAN say them instead of the usual way, so for the first couple of days, you couldn't say "can't."


There is no flight sim board. Whatever, I'll just stick the discussions in General Gaming or FPS stuf.

Yea, got in yesterday. Seems like it could be a very fun game.... only played for less then an hour thou, before going back to bfbc2.

Im in the beta, got in about a week ago, tried it, its not bad, not bad for a beta, there is a bit of lag and some problems, for example animations not actually happening for example hitting something, although the thing will actually get hit, the building stuff is cool.
