No but seriously though, you're not giving money to Haitians because they're poor and need money so they can be lifted from poverty. Haiti has been struck by a major earth quake and so you can donate money to organisations like Red Cross or MSF who will help the Haitians with food, water, medical care and housing. They won't give the money to the Haitians and say, "Here peeps, help yourselves."

I mentioned their poverty as a counter argument to your "they won't donate money to me"-argument. Their poverty is not why you could donate and has little to do with what I was saying.

And I'm surprised that you would just assume that all Haitians would insta-gib kill you when they get the chance.

Really? Because I'm not. I love hearing stories from my friend who was stationed at our Embassy in Haiti as an MP. He says that he was literally afraid because there were so many Haitians who wanted to kill him just because he was white. They view the white people as bad.

So, again, fuck Haiti, I'd rather help my fellow countrymen get OUT of poverty then give to some Haitians who'd prefer to kill me rather then do anything productive with the help I give them.
