Am I the only one that can get like 25? I am keeping my form strict...

That's the way it's done. Any other way, and you only cheat yourself.

More than 50 in a minute, I'm guessing form goes out the window?

when we did our fitness tests for my rugby team, form didn't matter, your chest just had to touch the ground and you had to have a full extension on the up. The problem is that it's actually most efficient to do it with good form and you'll get more done over longer periods of time.

Just go 90 degrees guys, form does not matter when your doing speed. The best way to get alot of them done is to push yourself up and just fucking let go of yourself tilll 90, and you will power though them.

But when I'm doing push ups in the gym I obviously have proper form nice and slow.

Ummm-hm, that's what i did.

Also, just try to zone out mentally, your thought process should be as simple as, "up, down, up, down". If you're not concentrating/thinking too much then you're going to flop.

I can nearly bench my body weight, but I can only do like 20 push ups... no clue how that make sense. Especially considering when you do a push up its only like half your body weight?

Uses different muscles.

Now if you really want to be hardcore, do clappers. Push yourself up off the ground like a normal push up, except you want to kinda throw yourself up in the air as much as you can and while your in air clap your hands then land again. You'll be exhausted in no time.

on... one.... twwwwwwwwwwww-

one

this.

Also, when you guys say 90 degrees, do you guys put your elbows 90 degrees away from your body? Like so

I heard that this way can be hard on your sholders.
Next time, try it with your elbows tucked in, parallel to your body.

depends on how good my form is
I did like 70 or so in grade 12 for pushup test. Test was someone put their fist under you, and it only counted if your chest touched their fist. But even then it wasn't the greatest form.
