So, here are the three official trailers for Red Dead Redemption. I've had high hopes for this game since they first announced it. After watching the third trailer I'm conviced that this is going to be a good GOTY contender in 2010.







Looks like rockstar might be bringing back seasons like the way they did with bully, if you noticed the small clip featuring snow in the third trailer.

The rage engine looks better then ever. Everything from gameplay, cinematography to character arcs looks awesome in my opinion. GTA4 had great dialogue so I can't see why we shouldn't expect that out of this game as well

I cannot friggin wait for this! I was a little worried at first because I hate shooting/aiming in console games and this was looking like a third-person shooter, but now that I see it's based on the GTAIV engine and it'll have lock-on as an option (it's pretty evident in the latest gameplay footage), I'm very excited. I thought GTAIV was good, except for the annoying cell phone stuff and the car physics. Well, neither of those should be an issue in RDR and the western setting is going to be awesome. Looks like Gun, but 10x better!

I was watching the Invisible Walls podcast and they said some really cool stuff about the game.
For instance, you can "train" your horse. If you mistreat it, it'll buck you off more often and be startled more easily.
Another cool thing, if somebody jacks your horse (Not like that, you perverts) and rides off with him, you can whistle and make it buck the guy off and then come back to you.

If the bugginess of GTAIV for PC is any indication, I'm not so sure

Also I learned that this will have regenerating health. Grumble.

Gun was only OK. Juarez 2 was better. But this looks pretty much on a whole 'nother level of awesome.

Juarez 2 was good, except at close range, cause of the fucking auto aim. This with regen health eughhh, unless its really long time

So many good looking games are getting nubbed up these days.

Rockstar has a tendency to learn from their previous mistakes with future titles though, so hopefully this will not be an issue. Time will show

Looks awesome. My brother had the first game and I fucking loved it.

GTAIV might also be my favorite game of all time, so if they're using the same engine I'm thinking this game will be great!

Who else is getting more hyped as the days count down? All new information can be found around the interwebz, and here, on the game's official site.

If this game delivers what it's promising, it'll be awesome. It, as many people have already said, could be GotY material. However, will it deliver? I hope it does.

For example, one of my worries is just how OPEN the open world is. Surely we can't go across all the terrain shown in the trailers? It just seems too good to be true. But, i think it might be. And, as i said, i'm hoping it is true.

I prob wouldn't care for this if it wasn't made by Rockstar.
This is something that could be REALLY epic if done well but it would need alot of love and crafting.

Which, is why I'm happy Rockstar is developing it
