This is such a terrible fucking thread, I don't even know if there are any words to describe how bad it is. What constitutes as "bad" is completely subjective.

Normally I'd agree, except my Server is 86% Horde, 14% Alliance.

Our server is one of the lowest population servers too, if not the lowest.
There's very little raiding guilds to get into, and the ones that let you are completely elitist.

I'm fairly geared, running 25m ICC and if I ask anybody about Remedy's requirements for joining they just laugh and say "You won't get in."

It's a rediculously bad situation on our server. I sometimes wonder if theres another low pop high ally server that Blizz could just merge.

And then I remember Blizzard gets money for server transfers. :/

Though this thread is fail, I can actually name one for a logical reason.

Andorhal - US. The server was so unstable that they opened free transfers off to anywhere for a week, after we spent 19 out of 24 hours down, and those 5 hours you could log in were plagued with smaller server crashes.

This continued off-and-on for about two years.

It also slaughtered the population, so now that the server is mostly stable again you're looking at a ghost town of a server, more so if you're Alliance.

All this + Faction change = 50 Alliance online at off-peak hours, 200 at peak.

It's cool if you like world PvP (I was Horde, but I actually did the reverse of most and switched to Alliance so I had people to kill), but for everything else it's balls.

Oh, and the biggest elitists on the server consider themselves some of the best raiders in the world... while resting somewhere at 150th in the country.

No, just realistic. I don't think you understand how many guilds there actually are in this game. The best guild on my shitty mcfuck server is like 500US, and some of them are objectively incredible. The former GM of this US500 guild (up until a couple months ago) is now in a US50 guild. This particular guild was within the top 100 throughout TBC and the first half of WotLK.

Yeah top 150 in the US is pretty solid if you figure there's a boat load of US servers and atleast 3 guilds per faction who are the best on the server. That's atleast 6 guilds per server.

Mind you I come from a server that has rank 3, 5, 11 and I think 19th in the US through progression but eh.

Maybe it's just me, before I stopped playing seriously (god help me if I ever start again) the guild I was in hit 75th in the US, though admittedly we all played way too much.

Then the classic fail happened, lots of guild drama and Chinese nerd rage blew us up, and most of them transferred over to Mal'Ganis US.

... oh god, am I an unconscious elitist?!



Edit: This was all after our best guilds had already left, mind you. TBC was the golden age of Andorhal.

Otaku, you make me feel better about that server, even back when I raided we all bitched about how horrible the talent pool was.

Granted, now it really is horrible thanks to the mass exodus by all but the previously mentioned guild, other then them it's mostly casuals and "hardcore" 10 man guilds.

i remember a time when al'akir eu had queue times of like 2 hours, at like, 4 pm in the after noon on a monday lol.. and its like 1 ally for every 17 horde or something stupid like that

Indeed, I started out on a RPPvP server (Venture Co.), had some very good times there. It's a darn shame that the server is now infested with 12 year old dutch kids.

Was the complete opposite for me. Alliance were raiding Org daily, and they sometimes managed to down Thrall. I hardly RP'ed either, I only did it for shits and giggles when I was drunk.
