sigh its coming to my attention that the game ive played for almost five years now is dying...So in further attempt to gain player base I've decided to introduce myself here to these forums and post a few links of the games and most popular sites/forums for the game and upgrades (assuming that anyone here can run openGl).Its a seriously old game and quite fun contact me via private messege if you need help installing graphical updates and master servers.

thats the thing tho its not going to have the mods just...base. base is fun tho just most of the players like more than just that i mean we have no trouble keeping up our own servers n w/not so it just kinda defeats the purpose.

and it has a pball mod ^-^

Wow.. Now that's a game I haven't seen pop up in ages. I used to play Starsiege Tribes under the Team Arial Combat (TAC) Mod. Then Tribes 2 and 3 >.> I was one of the lasting members of [SPAM]

I wanna see ppl who actually still play this game replying to this topic. i could honestly care less if you "played" it or are a "vet". the player base is down to 52 players and 119 servers meaning all those servers that were once played out are just idle paradises.

I hate Tribes mods. They fuck up the game so much it's not even funny. I'm glad that PlayTribes has no mod support.

Excpet for that one mini-mod that called the Scout the "shit-mobile."

if they do decide to stop procasturbating on the damn project it should be done sometime soonish like after newyears
also mods didn't "fuck up tribes" it was the people who were crying about things that you can easily get but never tried to stop like "happy Mod" (no fog and indicators thru hills). its a pethetic witch hunt thats still going on today there was a reason why mods like ultra ren and skb LT were allowed the use of the application
1.to manage and view your team easily (since in troc you have to mid air pass flags and know were your team is at all times).
2. ultra renegades vx mods even faster paced than anymod ever made.
3. Lasthope(witch stoped the use of happymod till andrews dumbass made a bypass for it.
i do not condone its use and its a noobish hack and i dont even use it in those mods (ultra ren or even troc).

also base is still quite popular today and i play from time to time and are now played in protected servers with FoX1.31
mods didnt fuck up the game it was winney little bitches like yourself who couldn't adapt to something new and different than base. people who cried about base defenses and addition tactical situationist that base players would scream and cry about but could other wise learn to disable if they took the time to learn a popular mod and actually learn to play the damn game

only mod i could agree with you ruining things was spawning with faves in SKB renegades
it totally defeated the purpose of the builder armor and killed the usefulnesses of defenses basically now all you see when ever you play ren is cyborg whorage and chaingun/mortar/rocket spam and now thats what they call defense and offense just one armor to rule it all.

I played that game for a solid 7 years straight.. I cant say I miss it. Im happy am out of that stage of my life. The sniping on that game was too fun, and i was pwnage everyone mostly. There was a few regular users that I had a tuff time beating, but Im sure they were hacker cheaters.
I loved sniping enemies out of the air like flies. Those days are only memories now
