Hey,
I'm anything but new to pp, always read the forums but never really posted or registered.
well this thread is about my current problem. I can't stick with one game!
Lately ive been trying out a bunch of different games of all types. Ive played the call of duty series to death and it doesnt really excite me at all now.
Ive played WoW since beta and its really crap now.
I recently bought AoE III, ever quest, L4d, played em for a while, but really couldnt get into them.
I dont know what it is but i cant find a game that i enjoy, can stick with and look forward to playing.

Has anyone had or is having this problem?
any suggestions for new games to play, or ways to not get so bored and disinterested?

Zavo.

getting bored of games you don't find fun anymore is a problem? Last I checked you play games for fun, not as a job.

I started and haven't finished Age of Empires 3, C&C Generals, and Baldur's Gate 2. I started playing StarCraft again and tried to finish the campaign but got roflbored.
I tried to finish the last chapter of HL2 Ep2 last week, but I keep rage-quiting.

I would suggest pulling out L4D again. It's an awesome game, and it will get you pumped for the second one coming out soon.

Have you tried Quake Live?
Fun, addicting, and free. So it's worth a shot.

yea i really liked l4d when i first started, did all the missions and then played the multiplayer for a month or two.
but its so repetitive you do the same missions over and over again, only a few guns, iunno i just think the game could've been alot more than what it is

I recommend the D2D (Direct 2 Drive) turns 5 sale.

I can't even list off all the titles for sale for $5 but they include: World in Conflict, Supreme Commander, Bioshock, Mount & Blade, Civilization 4, and more.
Direct2Drive turns 5 sale. $5 each game

The new Crash Course DLC is out for free on PC if you care to give that a whirl. There's also a tone of user made campaigns that are phenomenal. Some of which at least as good, if not better than the valve made maps. Death Aboard, Back to School etc.

Well, I guess if games aren't entertaining anymore, maybe find something else that entertains you.
Although it's ideal to find something entertaining that is also skill based, like sports.
Although I would say try some more games before giving it up.
There are some pretty good mods that are pretty fun. I went and bought oblivion a long time ago, and I play whenever I could.
Although I do agree with you for CoD series, right after I bought 4 it over the summer, I played for about 2/3 weeks and got bored.
EDIT: For the other cod series, I played for about 2/3 month before I got bored of it.

One thing that always makes me enjoy a game is friends, It's just fun to play with them, you're bound to have a good time either being serious with the game or just screwing around, get some friends to play with you. Should have fun every once in a while, even with old games.

L4D can get old if played like a job.

Trick is to find a multitude of games you like, so you have one to play when the others get boring.

I think tf2 is a game that I can stick to and enjoy playing for a while
