meh i play CS whenever i get the chance. i know tons of people who play CS on CAL and are really really good, who also play console shooters.

Seriously, the only reason to play a console shooter is to play with RL friends in RL. If you're playing Console shooters online, then really you dont deserve to be called good in CS, especially if you think they're better.

Really though, I love how you say console shooters being played online is stupid, but then challenge someone to play a console shooter online because they questioned whether or not you were good at playing them online

Oh and I'd have a response if I wasn't being told by someone who's shown no amount of skill in any game ever on these forums, while I've shown numerous screenshots of me being one of the top in the world for RE5 (which is a shitty game, but point is none of you have been top 8 in the world for any game before)

Aswell, you stick to FPS only. That's kind of sad. At least play a TPS if your going to stick with shooters, but you seem to only talk about like 2 games. (And I'm sure I probably could kick your ass in whatever game you think your good at)

I do suck at PC shooters.

I've only used a mouse for maybe 10% of my computer time in the past 4 years let alone in gaming. I don't have the coordination you need for them. I still don't sit around "laughing at any FPS with a mouse".

Aside from the known fact that Tree_ plays other games, generally people who play competitively tend to do it in the one genre. This is like chastising Justin Wong for not being a pro Starcraft player. He's a fighting games player. That's what he does

But there are definately pros out there who play more than one game. And the old school proffesional gamers did play more than one genre such as the winner of the NWC 1990 Thor Aakurland.

Oh and btw, we should play some ORIGINAL Quake sometime. It's been a while but I always liked the first one. Never got into the newer ones though.

Sorry, for a second there I thought you were comparing a NES tournament from when this kind of thing was still fairly new to today's competitive scene. But you wouldn't do something that stupid, right?

Well no I would.

It was definately better when it was new then, it's fucking HORRIBLE now. People playing halo think they're good at video games, and I see real gamers (Such as Starcraft, etc.) getting less media each year.

And I held that spot for 3 months, and I originally got it 2 weeks after the online ranking system was working properly.

Little LAN tournies... Yeah man, ESWC, CPL and WGT are totally considered the bottom rung of pro gaming. This isn't the Nintendo Champs back in the day dude... On top of that do you even have a way of showing that you are in fact 8th in the world? After all i'm willing to bet you only play the game on one platform which would mean you cant even prove you can beat every 360/PS3/PC player out there. Even then at the very least you cant show your even ranked 8th on any platform. To top it off I doubt RE5 even has a very big player base only proving that your probably only ahead of a couple of thousand people at the very least.

Also at the moment i'm practicing to play Trackmania in WCG (I try to keep up in racing game in general, wanted to play PGR4 at WCG last year but that feel through because of other plans on the same weekend of quals, I was also playing Forza during the CGS days) and currently play just about every fighter out there considered competitive (SFIV, SF3S, SFA2/3, SSF2T, MvC, TvC, KoF98, KoF02, T6... Even some DoA).

And I dont ping too well to US QW servers, so unless you wanna try in a middle ground i've got no interest playing a scrub with high ping,
