3. How much does the job pay on average?
4. How long does it take to finish school

Bartending schools are a crock. Don't waste your time on them. You don't need any kind of degree or special training to get a job as bar tender. Just go in to some local pubs and bars and ask if they are looking to hire someone. Some places will give you training or let you shadow a bartender that already works there until you become comfortable enough
You DO need to be knowledgeable about alcohol and drinks and such. Don't just go in there like a bumbling kid looking for a cool job.
Also I'm fairly certain you need to be 21 to get a job.

depends on where. You need to be legally at least 18 in most places. Laws vary though.

yea most bartenders never went to school to be a bartender. Although i know this one school in vancouver that offers like a 2 week program for $400.

Bartending, flairing and simply mixing techniques is something you can learn in your free time...on the internet for example

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Every time someone goes against Weiman's sig I feel like they should be bludgeoned for a few minutes in the head to feel the headache I feel when I realize someone really IS that dense.

O shi-, Legend is either Tree, or a pretty cool dude.
Anyways, maybe if you majored in something in school, and they offered bartending as a minor, but you didn't have to pay for it. Then I'd suggest going to school and taking it.
