Free Realms is just that. Except if you want to access all the content, ofc.
At a glance, it seems like a way to sucker kids into playing MMO's. This shit makes WoW look hardcore, since it's so casual. You don't have to choose a class at the creation of character; You can switch jobs as you like.
Non-paying members get to choose between:
- Ninja
- Chef
- Kart Driver
- Postman (Rofl)
- Demolition Derby Driver
- Brawler
- Pet Trainer
- Card Duelist (With the ingame TCG)
- Miner
...Yeah.
As a paying member, you also get access to;
- Archer
- Wizard
- Medic
- Blacksmith
- Warrior
I've been trying it a bit (damn obsessive gaming >_>), and the cutesy stuff is driving me mad, but the game includes minigames of the kind we know from flash based games (Who hasn't accidentally spent too long playing some silly flash game?).
So far, just to play reaaal casual, I'm levelling as a Chef (rofl), but might go into the Postman job once I find it.
Did I say it was casual? When you get a quest, green dots appear on the ground leading you to your objective like a veritable trail of breadcrumbs. My Chef job is level five after doing something like five quests, and I've unlocked that job, Kart Driver, Pet Trainer, Brawler, Demolition Derby Driver within something like a total of a half hour played.
I have yet to fail at any quest within the first time, and the combat (which only seems really necessary to get into if you're levelling as a Brawler) seems pitifully easy as well.
Anyone else have any impressions on this casual mumorpuger yet?
