Okay, so recently I have been pretty bored of Xbox. Everytime I sign on, I just sit there at the dashboard and don't even play games. I just sign on and talk to some friends. There are no games coming out in the next 6 months that interest me. I was wondering, would WoW be worth starting up again? I have friends that play it and everything and I played pre-BC (lvl 60 lock full T2). Is the game fun enough to bring someone back or is WoW on a downward spiral? Thank you, all opinions welcome. =)

If you think you will enjoy it, then by all means play it. I won't go back only because the ratio of fun to funds was not worth it in my opinion.
Would you like to look at some of my wares?

Id say yes it is worth going back into the new content is fun in WOTLK and the BC stuff is always fun to screw around with.

Burning Crusade was the downward spiral for WoW. Even blizzard will admit that they made some big mistakes from BC and they fixed those mistakes for WotLK. Even though there is not much endgame content atm it is still pretty enjoyable. WotLK is the upwards climb now.
I think the only game that is coming out that will take me away from it will be Assassins Creed 2 and that will probably be for a day or so.

I'd say yes, Ulduar looks amazing and WoTLK is what an expansion should be. Lore, good areas, great atmosphere. I'd probably have to stop playing though since school has proven to be too hectic >_>

It's not like you have to play all day everyday.
The was going bad, but as of 3.1.0 aka Ulduar, it seems like we're back on track.

I got back into it on sunday. It's probably a lot easier to get to 80 than when you were playin the game. I'm level 17 now but I'm in no rush to get to 80 because my friends are telling me they're changing things to quick atm. So ye play it if your bored, don't let any WoW haters but you down either.

The climb from 1-70 can be painful. (More so the journey to Outlands aka 1-58) Outlands is really easy now. I was leveling my rogue and I was getting about a level every 2 hours from 58-70. 70-80 is pretty fun the first time around. It can be very irritating the second + time around though. The end game is a lot more casual friendly then BC was. Heroics, Naxx, and all content before Ulduar save Sartharion with 3 Drakes is Puggable. Battlegrounds are fairly fun if you are into that. Arena is broken right now, but you haven't experienced Arena before so you may enjoy it.
Personally I don't enjoy WOTLK as much as Vanilla WOW and BC. I like raiding a lot and the challenge isn't there yet. Ulduar does look promising. What you get out of WOTLK will be the type of game play you enjoy. If you enjoy the more casual type stuff (random battlegrounds, PUG raiding, 5 mans, etc) then you will really enjoy WOTLK.
Am I afraid or is it merely I know not my own limits?

Comment after you've done Ulduar on hard mode several times to unlock the quest line that opens up the bonus boss, and then down him. TY

Its very hard when you can barely find groups for anything but when I hit outlands everything went pretty fast and I got a good group to do a chain of group quests and a few more single group quests.
67 atm, once I hit Northrend everything should be easier on leveling.

In my opinion, it's worth it.
I don't know about the servers you other guys play on, but pre-WoTLK, there were next to no PuG raids (and much less successful ones) going on, yet that seems to have changed a lot. At least on EU Turalyon
There's lots of fun to be had in WoTLK, imo. Worth it for some of the questchains (I loved the Wrathgate chain), and the lore if you're into that.

raiding is now easy
leveling is a bit more fun (its still pretty boring)
and your class is no longer op but atleast rogues aren't either
guaranteed you will enjoy it since its been a while but there is no challenge in the game so it may eventually get boring unless you just want to be a casual

I did all 80 content in two weeks after WOTLK release. Not worth the time/money
Yea but I've seen your gross Xfire hours on WoW. Not everybody plays 10hrs a day dude.
About 2 months ago i got back into WoW, I usually only play it for an hour or two a day but so far havent felt the need to cancel. I think WoTLK has way to many quests though, I wish they made the quests harder but less of them. Cause seriosuly in every zone theres like 150 quests ya gotta do for 1 damn level. It gets kinda tedious, which is why im only lv 72 now.
but meh, kills some time.
