Love how the resident tough guy is happy to talk trash on an internet forum but back pedals as soon as he is called out. Typical coward. No doubt he'll respond to this with excessive bravado in order to restore his rightful place as a fully fledged internet badass.

The whole Jeep is slightly bent inward. Anyway, it was finally towed away a few days ago from the insurance company. Waiting for their check so I can get something else.

I did for about 2 days.
Anyway the insurance company towed it and sent me a check.
Got a used 1995 bmw 318i.

Mine isn't as polished as this one.. but it's the same color.
The interior is TERRIBLE though. I'll be dying the rear seats with black leather dye tonight..

Not a big fan of 3 series, but as long as you enjoy it, then fair enough. I just hope you got a manual gearbox with that engine. If not, you'll be slower than a slug.

The car feels WAY different than my dad's mustang [v6]. This car is a v4 and runs at really high rpms, something that I'm not used to and bothers me. On the freeway on 5th gear doing 80mph~ I'll be running at about 4.2k rpms, the Mustang barely ever goes over 3k.
I also need to be at higher gears at lower speeds than the mustang (or maybe that's just be trying to avoid the high rpms.. ). I've been reading up on rev-matching on down shifts so maybe I'll get the hang of that and the car won't feel slow
Yeah sucks how the Jeep went out. Even on her last day she helped with a move. A desk tied to the top and the back filled with furniture and clothing. That thing was a tank.

Yeah, the 318 was their base model (was a brief stint with a 316, but sales were virtually non-existent so that was dropped), they were slow as anything but the autobox they used was so stupid it just pissed away fuel.
The lack of power does mean you have to thrash the nuts off of it, but that is the I4 way of driving. 4.3k at 80mph sounds about right for that engine/gearbox.
Comparing it to a 3+litre V6 isn't really a fair comparison though as the 318 was never going to be fast.

UNLESS YOU USE WASHERS AND CARDBOARD

I4 huh? Yeah I didn't know what to call it, I've never heard of v4.
It's slow as shit getting to 5th gear but once I'm there... it's fast (like any car I guess). I can go 105~ and not even notice. The Jeep would start rattling at around 90.
and wtf@ the 3 door 316

V4s do exist, although not many vehicles used the V4, off of the top of my head Lancia Fulvia used a V4.
Speed wise there isn't much you can do to help your vehicle, but you always have the option to slam it even more than it already is and put on hooooge spinnerz.

Also what do you mean by "thrash the nuts out of it". Drive at high revs?

New vette unveiled today. http://jalopnik.com/...tingray-returns
So far I'm not a big fan of the exterior. It looks like they pieced together a bunch of different existing super cars. Viper front, 599ish rear, gtr roof line. But underneath it's a pretty awesome machine. Direct injection, variable valve timing, cylinder shut off, automatic rev match for the 7 speed transaxle gearbox.
And the interior looks awesome in pictures. I'm really liking the digital dash.
So all in all it's a great update to the vette. Now we just need to complete Zora Duntov's vision with a mid engine vette. Fingers crossed for the c8 (the prototype class vette with a mid engine looks freaking awesome).

Pix.
As for me, 4-5 cones that where in the middle of the freeway 2 days ago fucked my bumper, and I'm missing a blinker now. Will post pics if not lazy.
