I use the red dot, but I've noticed it gets lost on a lot of maps. I guess Cyan would probably be a good colour to switch to.

Fnatic Picks Up QuakeLive Players
Today Fnatic announced that it will be adding 4 new players to its roster and sponsoring them in the QuakeCon event. The four players are:

David "deus" Kinnaird
Pierre-Emeric "link1n" Portier
Sebastian "Spart1e" Siira
Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone

Accompanying them in the CTF tournament will be Magnus "fox" Olsson, who will still be representing his team LowLandLions.

Guy by the name of penis on the QuakeLive forum has made a really fucking hard strafe prac map, you can get that shit here.

I have a problem. In my game settings, I have the audio at 50% and the music turned off. But every time I join a game, it increases the audio volume and turns the music on (most likely the default audio settings). Why does it do this? And how do I fix this? I don't want to readjust my audio every time I start a new game.

Do you have a config file? I've seen some cases where people mess with configs and put one on, but then go messing about with the game settings on the actual site which is a big no-no.

Yes, look in the game settings. There is an option for Fullscreen mode in there.

Well, did you use a config generator? They can generally use alot of default settings to mess things up, check your config for audio volume settings.

i noticed that there are prac maps for strafe jumping and such, is there anything for practicing aim? specfically for my railgun aim? Like, i know i could just aim at arbitrary objects in other maps, but itd be cool if there was something actually meant for it that I am missing.

As far as I know id hasn't released one like that, but I'm almost positive you could find some custom aiming maps to download. Check around the QL forums and google it

I did what that site told me to do and I STILL keeps changing the audio settings back to default every time I join a different game.

I really don't know what else to tell you, it works fine for me. The only case I've heard of setting screw ups have always been with config errors. I don't know what could be causing your problem then.

You say that you edit the sound settings to what you like them to be, but every time you join a game, they switch back to default settings. I really can't figure it out, thought for sure your config would be it if you had one. You ARE saving the sound setting each time you set it right? As in, say, you set a sound setting while in game, and it changes to your custom sound setting, but then once you leave a game and join another, it switches back to default?
