i did some looking and couldn't find any cheaper preorders.. so i went with amazon. although tbh

1. i REALLY do not mind paying full price at all for this game obviously

2. amazon have been awesome with deliveries for me atm. i live in the middle of nowhere on a farm and even when we were practically snowed in and i only ordered the day before i've been getting games on the release dates.

just watched the trailer..

i shivered, cried and came all at once

So it got leaked, now I have to stay away from anywhere that could remotely give away any spoilers.

Same. I refuse to download it, though, preordered the collector's edition on PC from GAME yesterday. That and I can't be bothered downloading the twenty million Gb or whatever it will be

Goddamn it.

I need to replay my original ME....Still not completely happy with my old Shepherd. Which means I have to binge play it Dragon age style before the sequel is released.

Goddamn it.

Game is fucking SICK!

Been playing it, its so player oriented.

The combat is a lot better this time IMO. No major lag issues like the first and when you issue a command you or your partner does it instantaneously. The biotic moves seem so much more fluent now. Been playing a Vanguard and doing some pretty sick stuff.

The story seems pretty good so far, nothing TOO gripping though - although i know it will get better.

Lots of cool things to see and people to talk to or fight.

Loving the shit out of this game so far.

From what I've heard the one complaint about the game is that the story isn't quite as good as the first

I don't like paying for my fucking ship's fuel, I'm kind of less curious to explore, now.

I'm not concerned. Even if the story really doesn't compare to the first game's, even just what we do already know of it in advance (from the trailers and previews and all) is already enough to get me going. But this is a game that is about the characters, they're undeniably by far the real driving force and narrative of the game, and from the looks of it Bioware nailed that aspect perfectly.

Though for that I'll have to wait and see.

(I'm going to put this in spoiler tags just to be sure, though it really isn't a spoiler.)

JUST SAW THIS:
Wikipedia:

"Garrus has been confirmed to appear in Mass Effect 2,[4] and can be recruited as a party member in that game as well.[7] Unlike the first game, Garrus becomes a possible romance option for a female Shepard in Mass Effect 2.[8]"

....................................... WHAT

"Tali has been confirmed to appear in Mass Effect 2,[4] and can be recruited as a party member in that game as well. Unlike the first game, Tali becomes a possible romance option for a male Shepard in Mass Effect 2.[11]"

HOLY SHIT

MOVE THE FUCK OVER MIRANDA

Been playing through about 12 hours now and your excatly right. Without giving too much away most of the games missions rely heavily on the characters back stories. Instead of doing mindless quests searching for shit on planets with the land vechile, you've got fully fleshed out side missions which are just as entertaining as the main plot.

What's even better is how they tell their stories so well you take a liking to most of the characters and want to help them regardless. Besides you get amazing perks if you do so anyways.

This game, from what i've played so far, is leaps and bounds over the original mass effect. Feels like they took out all the stuff that made the game play less effective the first time (driving that damn vechile, pointless side quests, etc) and perfected what they know was great (combat, characters, planets, conversations).

Buy this game!

Ugh ....

Shepard's romancing is so much less believable than in the first

I figured Garrus as he has his own track on the soundtrack along with the rest of the recruitable party members. I was wondering if he could be romanced after Casey Hudson's interview with the Giant Bomb crew in which he said the most requested romance options were Garrus and Tali

I can agree with that, I'm trying to sleep with the girl who tells me all the updates. She wants it.
