Afaik: This is only for New South Wales as pretty much stated in the article. Everywhere else seems cool for now.

Epic stuff,
Good going Australian Classification Board! You are doing you jobs really well!
Uh the wording is so vague, but i got the impression that the NSW legislation covers everything, but the rest of australia may not have that legislation, something that the ACB want to patch up.

IT seems that it has to do with games that have no single player experience.. so TF2 is banned there too now?

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Every time someone goes against Weiman's sig I feel like they should be bludgeoned for a few minutes in the head to feel the headache I feel when I realize someone really IS that dense.

That's actually a really good point. Counter-Strike (Aside from CZ) and Day of Defeat should probably be banned to as far as Valve games go,

Unless its packaged with the Orange Box which has a global rating for all the games in it.. maybe?

the state government, and by extension, the federal government, has once again disappointed, angered and upset me.
as a fifteen year old school kid, i feel so helpless when powers above introduce any form of government that restricts my way of life and my interests, as well as disregarding any opinions i may have.
i feel so hopeless, powerless, voiceless and small whe the government makes stupid decisions like this.

I always want to movie to either australia or the UK just for the hell of it after I get out of college, but then I remember how fucked up some of the laws there are and then I don't. Everyone that tries to do this in the US seems to get assraped for now.

I don't think they will take our games away, they'd have a pretty tough time doing that, only stop selling it in store.

I have beaten The Internet. The end guy was hard.

Now if only it had a worldwide ban....
I can dream, I can dream
EDIT: after reading the thread in GD about it being A LOT more games than WoW
If that's the case, I'm sorry

Wow, that is fucked.
Reminds me of "The Castle"
"This is in violation of the constitution!"
"Which part of the constitution?"
"Well, you know, the whole feel of it!"
but seriously though this news makes me want to rage hard
