I was watching La Bamba the other day, great movie, Ritchie Valens truly was yet to reach his prime before his life was taken away from him. Excellent film, with an almost indirect look at the rock and roll back in the 50's.
Shamefully enough I can't say I knew too much about Buddy Holly or the Big Bopper, but it did hit the rock and roll community pretty hard.

The death of music is relative. If you're some 16 year old Kanye West fan, you will probably never think that music died. For me, music died in the late 80's.

musics "debatebly" alive, though in no mainstream sense, mainstream has been dead for past 20 years.even decent artists that are still around ae near the end of their lives as decent artists tho

i think you'll find the day madonna remade american pie (the song not the movie) is the day the music killed itself so it wouldn't have to listen to bad remakes.
