Okay, in this thread, just post something that your country is famous for (or even better, province, state, town, etc)
I'll start.

The town I live in, Bolton, Ontario. There is a musician named Skye Sweetnam, she's been all over Much Music and the radio.

Not only is she from my town, but I went to middle school and highschool with her sister and were quite good friends.

So, tell us, what is YOUR country famous for?

As for my country, empire building and everything. There isn't a lot that wasn't invented in Blighty it is just a shame the gov't rarely funded it on a large scale basis. Right now you're using one of the biggest British inventions but it is only here because the American gov't would give the inventor the cash needed to make it global.

And now we're known for townies (chavs), teen pregnancy and a failing currency.

That trade which we only finished paying off 2 years ago. America has always buddied up to countries in Europe not Britain because combined they helped squash the Empires hold on the Americas.
