Omg, so at school today, we were watching some Jason and the Argoanauts in Classical Civilisation (A-Level). And so, this actor called Dennis Hopper starred as Pelias.

DENNIS HOPPER. Does anyone recognise that name? 'cause I did, and 20 mins later into the movie, it hit me!

He played Koopa in the Super Mario Bros. movie. I've got it on DVD and recognised his name from the cover. I so recognised his voice too. And it's ironic how he stole Jason's mother (like stealing Mario's princess) and kept her prisoner in his castle. LOL at Mario irony.

So, discuss Dennis Hopper maybe? Or...SMB movie? icon_smile.gif

Exactly. He's in a lot of other movies, and Super Mario Bros. wasn't that great of a movie either.

lol at eraserhead - blue velvet

im loving my david lynch as well. but eraserhead has gotta be one of the worst, hardest films of all time. Checkout Bad Boy Bubby, an Australian version of a similar story (if there can be such a thing)

Dennis Hopper is one of the seminal actors of all time, for having been in so many exemplary films to have come out of america -

"Easy Rider"
"Apocolypse Now" (and definately see the doco by coppolas wife - "Hearts of darkness, a film makers apocolypse")
"Blue Velvet" Frank, the scariest mofo ever - and so freaking suave
"Cool Hand Luke" - incidental role but outstanding 10/10 film
"True Romance" - Quentin wrote the film, Dennis had a great scence when he takes on the mafiosa

Not that Dennis is the greatest actor, he just happens to be one of the originals,

a genuine character.

*edit* and I am definately gonna checkout SMB movie, thx for teh wordup

I don't watch it because of Dennis Hopper. I watch it because I'd tear the shit out of Sandra Bullock.

Whoa: I've heard that relationships based on intense situations tend not to last...
Sandra: We'll have to base it on sex then.
