Oblivion...MMO? Implemented well could be good. I was looking forward to this, but sadly, this game.....

theyre saying european release date is january 22nd, but then again they said they were gonan release in 2008, and i think every previous year since development has begun, so ya..
but i mean they are going to have an open beta so you dont have to buy it to try it, the graphics arent the best because they want huge battles, and that could also be on a crap computer.
I dunno im not exactly supporting the game but im not exactly against it.. i just hope it lives up to expectations, graphics aside, im sold.

I'm sorry but since when was focusing on game play mechanics, balancing and implementing a shit load of features instead of working on adding bl00m and gfx!11 BAD?!

Keep in mind Dakfall's engine is made from scratch. Unlike MO being run by the unreal(3?) engine.

Edit: Oh and MO has been in dev almost as long as DFO. MO devs just decided to go public later the DFO's devs.

you need a balance of both imo.

especially in an MMO, walking through beautiful environments is important aswell.

The graphics look like a hybrid of morrowwind/oblivion, some places look a lot better than others, but it really is about gameplay > graphics in order to support all video cards geforce1 + and 100 -200 player siege battles. There is no way to turn grass off in the game because that would give you an unfair advantage to see people utilising the grass to hide/ambush you, so the game autoscales graphics.

The screenshots shown are not exactly great either ;l

Yeah uhm... graphics look bad.....
Gameplay looks bad too....

Just because its an mmo with all this fancy fighting doesnt mean it'll be good.

The devs look inexperienced and i highly doubt the networking to this game will be good.

I agree, gameplay comes first.

Graphics can be updated pretty much at any time. It's the gameplay that keeps the real people playing.
