Just note that I am Not Giving anything away to Forum members.

So. I've cracked. Spend like...Close to 20k on this gen of gaming alone. I am getting rid of all the game I own for my PS3, Wii and like 90% of my 360 games. That includes the PS3, Wii, the controllers and other such hardware and peripherals and the such. I will be keeping my 360 and the few of the games most of you see me on most of the time. Guitar hero, Rock band, Gears, Fable and Halo.

I had a list of something like....40 Plus games and Blu ray movies in total. Giving them all to my friends or whomever wants it, that I know IRL. Whatever they don't take, is being Zipped up to childsplay in Vancouver. Giving Kids M rated games, heh. Video Games for kids who had their parents shot up in Video game related school shootings. Man I'm funny. No. I'm not. Thats part of the problem. I am going for a total lifestyle change. Therefore I am no longer a hardcore gamer. I have a life. I should live it. Do something with it. Become....a Casual Gamer.

I am going back to classic gaming. This gen sucks. The gamers of this gen suck. And Tree_ Is a role model for me.

If i'm such a role model you can shoot the PS3 my way, ... Yeah sure this gen does suck for mainstream gaming but honestly I still think there is good that has come from it: Stuff like Castle Crashers, SFIIHD, the new Mega Man... It's not cause to give up on your hobby simply because the games of old just seem to play better then whats literally being pushed out today. Albeit, having a life is always nice and if your the kind of guy (Like I know I was) who does nothing but play games all day perhaps a chance of pace would be a good thing.

Come back to the classics man, it's where it's at.

if tree doesn't actually want it, i'll take the ps3, i'd even pay like $200 if you'd like.

aside from that, i get what you're going for. i have a life, i hang out with my friends, give smooches to my girlfriend, i go to school, i work, i have a life, but on my downtime, like at night, i enjoy playing games. i enjoy everything about them. they have probably shaped most of my personality, and probably the cause for my photographic memory. so i owe a lot to them, but i wouldn't ever hold them as more important than my girl, my friends, my family, and my job and school. i just enjoy them greatly. and i can understand you trying to rid yourself of the temptation to treat them like they are more important than those things.

as for this gen, it's not so bad. it has the same amout of good games coming out as before. there's just and incredibly scewed ratio of good/bad games as before.
before it was like this: Good games/bad games = 1/10
now it's more like this: good games/ bad games = 1/50
this is mostly to be blamed on the wii, for it has enlightened even usually good developers to the fact that people will buy crappy games if you market them right. so this allows them to make cheap and crappy games for all the consoles and people flock to them, giving developers, and the big corporate liscense holders reason to keep puching them out.

seriously tho, if you'd be willing to send the ps3 my way, i'd pay you for it.

Yeah really... That's insane.

P.S. I'll take some of that stuff off your hands TBH I've ended up the same way as you, I just play guitar hero all the time now, I haven't sold my games because I think of them as some kind of trophy. I just don't have the time to play crummy games.

Although he might not be keeping the best games in some people's opinion, the ones he listed, IMO are easier to just pick up and play for a bit, instead of playing for several hours.

I'm glad that you are at least giving stuff up to donate to child's play, but you have to realize why you want to do this? Is this gripe with current gen? Or gaming in general? Honestly.
