I dont know what game to get for my 360
Far cry 2

I dont think i will like gears 2 because i found the controls in gears 1 very annoying, but maybe its different and better now?
I dont know about far cry 2 because maybe the multiplayer is not very competitive?
I dont know about cod5 because i played the beta and got to level 40 so, is there any need for me to buy it can it show me anything new?
I just need a new game because i dont have any 'serious' games now lol i only have fifa 09, cod4, Gh wt and gta 4

1. cod4 = cod5, so if you find cod4 not serious, then cod5 isn't serious 2. Also cod5 SP is really short like the SP of cod4
2. I heard that the GoW2 controls are pretty much the same as the first one, but I'm not sure.
3. Far Cry 2, never played it, so I can't give you any opinions

I'm going through pretty much the same thing. I want a new game but I can't decide on one. Out of those ones though I would probably go with Gears 2, but that is only because i really enjoyed the the first one, and unlike you I had no problem with the controls.
Cod5 looks decent, but its too similar to cod4 for me, and I played the shit out of that game.
I would also highly suggest getting Left 4 Dead, you won't be dissapointed on that one.

I have to pick between gears 2 and L4D. Gears 2 everybody on my friends list keeps inviting me to, but then I don't think I'll be able to get L4D, which looks ass blastingly amazing.

nah i dont want l4d i got bored of demo in 5 mins, i like far cry 2 but it doesnt seem very popular, and im all about online play really.

Good choice man, Gears 2 is fairly awesome, although tbh, if you asked me that question and I didnt have Gears of War 2, I'd be torn between that and Left 4 Dead, from what I've seen and heard, its a fairly sweet game, and I'm not much of a survival horror fan.

GG on the pick, im gonna be new to consoles soon but i still cannot see how people play FPS with a controller. I just cant do it. And FC2 is great but not 50 or 60 or however much it is, its a rental. Same with COD5 with what i saw with the beta.

I started fps on a controller. It grows on you. I prefer fps on a computer with a good rig, but that won't happen for me for a long time. So console it is! And when you practice enough... you get pretty good.
Tip: Don't overshoot your sensitivity, make it perfect for you.
Also learn strats for the games. A good example is Halo 3, it's all about position / location. Cod 4 imo is more about cover and blending in as well as moving and staying stealthy. Read up on community forums for the game you'll be playing and get some pre-ideas rendered then go back to them after you've played a bit to improve your game.

I'm so torn between those two. L4D I think would have a LOT of replayability, but gears will probably have a better single player, and maybe more friends playing. /wrists :'(

Basically, If I really had to choose, Id go with L4D soly because the co-operative play is unreal. But if your looking for a game with a storyline and epic single player get Gears 2.

Gears 2 would be number one for me, I still prefer COD4 over 5 so I'm just sticking with that. And Far Cry 2 was just kind of meh in my opinion. Gears has a solid competitive scene and even the single player was much better than I expected.
Left 4 Dead is awesome too...the versus mode is just fun as hell.
