I strongly believe so. They may not have murdered the child, but they sure as hell destroyed their life. It's a basic question, what's ur guys' opinion?

No. Lock them up and 'accidentally' let the other prisoners know they are a molester. Much better punishment than death.

i think life in a maximum security in solitary. child molesters destroy lives, and a molested kid will probably be scarred for their entire life.

I think spending your entire life in jail is far worse than being put to death.

But then again, all they would draining government funds.

hmm, true
but the expression "an eye for an eye" doesnt really serve the purpose of the law.
if you stoop to their level, justice goes out the window

NO

In Aus you don't get the death penalty for murder so you should not get the death penalty for molestation. Also I'm against the death penalty all together ... even though If someone killed a family member I might kill them in my rage but I would not feel that what I have done was justified or right or anything like that...

so its a no from me

No.

Life in prison is acceptable depending on the crime, but some of these people are just in need of therapy, then they could be productive members of society.

Repeat offenders should then be locked away for life though.

apparently it's debatable whether life imprisonment or the death penalty costs more

Also I don't think they should get the death penalty, keeping them in prison is fine, for how long i dont know
Perhaps if this signature is witty enough, someone will finally love me.

If we took all the non-violent drug offenders out of jail... then this wouldn't be an issue, tbh.

keep in mind. molestation is not the same as rape. If you include just molestation, that could potentially end the lives of many people that are not necessarily deserving.

QFT, it isn't the high profile criminals that cost so much damn money, it's all the small time drug related guys who we lock away for 10+ years over bullshit all the time.

When people commit crimes like this they lose their human rights. They need to be exterminated or rehabilitated. They're poison.

You know, one of the main reasons humans rights exist is to protect those whom society believes are not worthy of being treated with dignity
