Us brits have to wait to the fucking 31st for this game so don't complain about waiting.

10 long years i've been waiting and bethesda have to fuck it up with problems from launch day 1.

Back in the day before internet, games couldn't be patched so they always came out 100%, now days it seems that games are released at 60% with the devs throwing in a fix or two when they feel like it.

Wasnt Fall Out 2 sorta patched?

Yeah, but it wasn't unplayable without the patches.

Bought mine from Amazon. I don't rate shit, but I'd give it a 5.

Works perfectly for me...

Moriarte: Ignoring IW.net, is the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 a direct port of the console version?
Infinity Ward: No, PC has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings.

for some strange reason, my save files decide to load only sometimes.

sometimes they load, work for a second, and then the game will crash to desktop. The only way to cure this is to restart my computer, and that doesnt fix it all the time. Other times it will work perfectly until I die, and then crash, and I'll have to restart.

Bethesda really need to patch this game ASAP.

Also, a tip for anyone using the new Nvidia beta drivers- If you're having problems, get rid of the new drivers. I couldn't even leave the vault with em.

I'm patiently (see: impatiently as fuck) waiting for all the expected issues to get ironed
out and the game to be patched to the point where it doesn't need anymore patches
before I actually go pick it up.

Mega mixed reviews on it though, so I can't even read those to decide where on my large
list of "Games to trade sleep and food for" it belongs. Half the people I've seen play it say
it's godawful and more like Oblivion then Fallout, then the other half say it's still very much
Fallout with an Oblivion-like feel, but they took out a lot of the shit that pisses me off about
Oblivion (scaled enemies, annoying chat game that is easily bypassed by bribing the fuck
out of anyone with a mouth, etc).

Scaled Enemies?

FUCK NO. I haven't seen a single "Scaled" enemy like from Oblivion at ALL. In this game which surprised me because I expected that. Raiders and shit still suck my fucking monsterly fat huge penis. They're shooting at me with with starting weapons ffs. Then I turn around and there's some Enclave faggots with Plasma rifles and power armor and I'm like "Whoa I'm sorry dude, don't kill me."

It's I'd say a GOOD mix of what was GOOD in Oblivion and just fallout stuff. IMO they should go back and patch Oblivion with the shit they used in Fallout for characters, facially and bodily. Because IMO Fallout characters look 100000 times better. (Also, never once encounted the "Chat game". NOT ONCE. Who ever is feeding you what this game is, is fucking bullshitting you mang.)

-snip-

Nonono, you misread lol. They told me that they got RID of the shit I hated in Oblivion (then in this
little parenthesis bubble I was naming things I hated, that no longer exist so I've been told).

But that's a tenth person who has told me of the removal of elements from Oblivion that made me
want to nail my penis to a ceiling fan, so this is definitely adding points to the "Fallout may need to
rank high up there in what will be replacing food and sleep" category.

80% of issues with this game are codec/securom related, and the other 20% is probably user error. If you are getting random CTD's its a good idea to uninstall whatever codec pack you have and re-install a brand new k-lite and add fallout 3 to fddshow exceptions. The in game radio is also causing alot of problems and you can avoid some ctd's by just leaving it off.

Alot of people trying to play this game simply dont have the system to run it properly, or the right installed software. Bethsoft probably should have upped the system requirements or been more specific about what was needed to run it but why do that when you can sell so many copies to people that can BARELY run it.

Off topic though, this game definately IS fallout, and i can safely say it is probably one of the best games i have ever played. There is far more content than i expected and i've already replayed it twice as a good/evil character. The next will be melee. I cant wait until people start modding this game and expanding it even more.

Securom has absolutely nothing to do with any game problems. why? Because it only checks if there is a CD in the game drive then you play the game. /facepalm

It's like, the lowest, low basic form of Securom. Don't be stupid, this game isn't spore.

Really?

http://www.bethsoft....howtopic=892715

Lots of folks having installation problems, at least enough to garner a sticky on bethsoft forums. I understand it is a just a disc check but some still had issues.

Launching fallout3.exe rather then FalloutLauncher.exe also works wonders....
