My point was that people who brag about being "good" at PvP are morons who should give a legitimate competitive game a try (and get their asses handed to them).

You're at 80% warn and still flaming like before so you obviously still haven't learnt to stop the hate, so I'm suspending you for 14 days. If you do it again there's a good chance you'll get banned.-ThE_MarD

Pretty dissapointed in ya right now man.. anywho? a good formula with anything pc-related is "if it's not broken, don't fix it." Cause more isn't always better. I know for WOTLK my friend says the new warrior abilities are junk, so I don't think he's gonna buy wotlk.

Weren't you the one who told me ex-pro-css players were starting some wow pro gaming league? icon_razz.gif

It's two very different playing styles though man, they can't be judged exactly the same. Like Jarett said before, wow is like training up a neopet and it's more about how much time you've dedicated to your character and his gear and abilities than skill.. so I must admit that is true, but still, someone with good skills could 1v1 and win versus someone a level up or two as long as buddy doesn't have pure purple gear versus green gear.. it's just that the match grounds aren't the fairest.

It's a rock-paper-scissors thing. No classes are balanced for 1v1; there are some classes that are literally impossible to win against using a certain class because of the way they work.

For instance: MS Warrior vs Warlock, the MS warrior will win 99% of the time, that last 1% is when the MS warrior is AFK or retarded to the point that they're trying to come at you with a fishing pole

Warlocks survive off 3 things: Fear, drain-tanking and high stamina

Warriors have many fear breaks and even more skills that make them immune to fear to begin with, MS reduces the healing you get by 50% so drain tanking is nearly nullified completely, and the high stamina counts for nothing vs a melee class while wearing cloth.

You assume the warlock is SL/SL.

I can either be full Afflic, Demo, or Destro and comepletely destroy an MS Warrior. Death Coil, Succubus charm, Fear, Dot rotation, curse of exhaustion, shadowbolt spam, win.

Pet intercept(then recall pet), death coil, fear, dot rotation, curse of exhaustion, shadowbolt spam win.

2x 4K Shadow bolt, death coil, dots, win.

Generally speaking, PvP warlocks are SL/SL

I usually go UA. I do more damage and die just as quickly,

I hate demo

PvP destro can destroy MS warriors, it really depends on resilience.

lol, no?

Warlocks survive off of SL/SL spec to mitigate damage, and heal back through damage. Warlocks only have 1 true enemy, thats a sub-swords rogue. They get royally flushed by them.

If u get a similar geared warrior vs an SL/SL spec lock the lock will win..... They have alot of dps and mitigation, not to mention the heal back they get through talents in aff. The lock still has DC.....beserker doesnt last all the time and warriors can still be feared reliably. If u are to be good in pvp u need to be intimate with the all the viable pvp specs of other classes, their cds, burst indicators/potential set ups, and that kind of stuffzz.

Mortal strike isnt that much of an issue to locks, healing is healing and still works as a form of mitigation from sustained white and burst yellow.

Fuck 5v5 comps btw, 3v3 is all up n this. Its the same as when u go to game tournies for fighting games. There are characters who perform better against other characters, and chars who are just higher tier overall. The point is, in competitive wow, u can switch up comps in your 3s team to win against a mirror match or just an anti-comp.

NEXT!

I disagree completely. (Except that subswords rogues fuck up warlocks)

EDIT: Also Deathcoil is almost useless to anyone with a PvP trinket.

It does take skill to do good in PvP in this game. If there wasnt then every team would be 1500 rating or at the bottom of the scoreboard in a BG every round. Sure 1v1 is unbalanced for some classes but giving the class that owns yours a good fight takes skill.

Mages usually kill my Warrior but I still can kill some good mages if I dont fuck up. Same thing with my Shaman against SL Locks.

Oh and I am good at PvP and after doing a few BG's and demolishing them I go play some CoD4 and go 98-11. Skill travels to whatever game you play it doesnt matter which.

It amuses me when people assume that someone in a raiding guild with a high pvp rating is instantly bad at all games =P

Seriously, if you're a good gamer and willing to put time into anything, you're going to be good at anything... If you seriously think WoW takes no skill, go get a 2000 rating. Go defeat Vashj, Kael'thas, Teron Gorefiend, Illidan, Brutalllus and Kil'Jaeden.

I'm so tired of hearing lame excuses from bad gamers. "waah class balance, waaah random number generator, waaaaaaah this game takes no skill." Hilarious. Keep them coming noobs.

Have fun with WAR, but don't assume its better than WoW. Maybe later content patches will push the game further, but at this point in time the game just isn't as good. Its nothing compared to WOTLK, and if you're in to PvP, save yourself the $40 and wait for Darkfall Beta.

What came first, the spamming or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids reading thousands, literally thousands of posts about anime, 4chan, flaming, goatse and emos. Did I make terrible posts because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I made terrible posts?
