I like rs. Shure, it doesn't have the best graphics in the world... But it's a frickin Java game!! If you know how to avoid all the idiots, rs is fun.

and what you do is geting higher level and more money to buy bether stuff so you can kill more peeps...

Ups:
1.Very Addictive
2.Free
3.As big and deep of a world as WoW
4.Millions of players

Downs:
1.Horrid Graphics
2.Lots of Spamming/Scamming/Swearing/Nooby Ads/ Random Glitches.
3.Alot of people may lose their lifes getting addicted to this game.

My opinion:

Play the game if ya got a crappy connection but if you can afford WoW or just about any other game, get the other game and not runescape.

P.S. My runescape name is Sir_Skunk0, Level 77, and i OWNZZ

First, I'm gonna say you're not neutral, since your name is Bob the Jagex Cat. Second, level 77 isn't very good. I hear WoW is much larger than RS, so you're wrong there too. Other than that... what you say is basically right.

Runescape isn't that bad, though I now play World of Warcraft,
I spent many hours happily on Runescape in the past, and the game's pretty good value at FREE or for membership £3.20 a MONTH :!:

What? Is there a better reason to dislike a game? The game is uninteresting to look at, it doesn't have the worlds best gameplay, the community is full of dumbasses and n00bs, and overall it's a boring experience. For just a few quid (dollars, yen, rupees, whatever) you can get an MMO you're going to enjoy playing much more.

I don't want to knock RS too much, it's good for what it is, and that's free quick disposable entertainment. It isn't supposed to stand up to WoW or GW, and the game will inevitably look bollocks compared to games that cost real money. If you play it and enjoy it then good for you, you proberbly have a boring day job or school, like most people.

Ice Climber was a NES classic - I could easily play that for well over an hour, possibly a whole day. If better games didn't exist nowadays that is. It gets one up over runescape though, i'd pick ice climbers any day of the week.
