So let's get this straight, you somehow already have those parts and that amount of money in your posession?

This is exactly what has been going on through the entire thread, and it's not the first time either.
You come to us for advice..you just spell out what you want to get, and then ask us if it is okay, and we have to explain why it isn't. That's the world upside down.. If you would just say 'hey guys, I have an X amount of money, what should I buy?' Then this would be over in 2-3 posts, not 2-3 pages.

Every time someone goes against Weiman's sig I feel like they should be bludgeoned for a few minutes in the head to feel the headache I feel when I realize someone really IS that dense.

Go to the "Looking for parts for PC" thread, the mid-tier. Since the video card and memory aren't available, get this video card and this memory.

Edit: Oh wait, you already have those and want to spend 850 or? I'm confused now icon_razz.gif
And like that, he was gone.

No, just grab some stuff and be done with it, barebones usually have low end powersupplies and motherboards.

Just in case I'm the only one noticing, that is DDR RAM, not DDR2, so you'll have to get some anyways.

Anyways, here's what I'd go with:

Some RAM
Standard motherboard.
WD harddrive
A well balanced out CPU
Standard DVD burner

Of course that doesn't fill up your budget at all, and I think you should just keep that money in your pocket in case you screw something up and need to buy new hardware. Heck, if you're not that far from downtown Toronto I'll come over and build it myself..

If you've already got that video card, ignore this, but I'd rather go with the 9800GTX+. Exact same card but on a 55nm process instead of 65nm. Makes it much cheaper and cooler, and allows for better overclocking.

I think he needs to use Tigerdirect.ca instead of .com. Pretty big price differences..

Unlike he's trying to make us believe, OP doesn't have either that budget or those parts. Try next time.
