EVE Online

The title says it all.
I currently have been playing for around 2 weeks , but I love it and will be playing until Warhammer comes out.

Gallente Pilot
Skill Points: 966,186

Ships:
Frigates: Rifter(PVP SetUp), Navitas(Mining SetUp) and Imicus(Drone/Mining SetUP)
Industrial: Iteron
Cruiser: Vexor and will be getting a Thorax soon.
Eventually I would like to get a Nemesis but that is about a month away.

Currently I have been mining most of my time to get some money. Soon I'll be on my way to pirate and PvP a bit. The corp I'm currently in is just some RL friends who are waiting for Warhammer to come out.

I was gonna try it out until I found out you can't use a Joystick. Kind of pointless to "pilot" a ship and have space battles without one.

They do, they're just too busy either playing it or working or raising their children to ever browse the PP forums.

ya... ive always thought they should add in manual input when piloting in eve...

and walking around in stations/planets, but they are adding that.

I started a trial two days ago, and after a few unpleasent and angry moments
of nerd rage figured out what exactly was going on, and that EVE doesn't work
the same way most MMOs do.

... and now, I'm hooked. Hooked like a crackbaby born in a meth lab.

I'm going back to play some more.

I hate the damned Autopilot!

I had a 10 Jump travel to go on, so I set my AP to stay out of low security space and turned
it on, then walked off to get a drink. I couldn't have been gone for more then a minute and
when I come back, it's veered off to a .3 space and gets me blows to shreds, including my
pod.

So much ISK down the drain... >.<

It was hilarious, from hearing my friends in vent for a month, talking about WoW I knew the game so well before I even played it.

Theres a tutorial for the very beginning thats easy to learn the basics from, most people just
don't bother to go through it and try to rush into shooting things, and learn that it's not as simple
as a lot of MMOs.

The learning curve is really high, thats all. The rookie chat is a big help, most people had as hard
a time to learn it as anyone else, so they're generally pretty helpful. The only trolls are people on
trial accounts who are mad because it takes more thought then WoW does, and we just block them
and ISK sellers.

its really not complicated, but it is more difficult to learn when comparing it to wow.

just gotta sit down for a couple hours and play.

Also, it hadn't shown me going through anything lower then .6 when I
looked at the star chart, and messaged the GMs, who said that day there
were a few bugs with the AP system while they'd done some work.

I'm surprised how little posts there are on this thread..

I mean last time I was well in the PP community and constantly on the TS.. Hero_Swe, Kashmir, Hrugnir, EVERYONE! Was playing EVE..

I recently got back into it and are loving it..

I've added Shunted and look forward to playing with you guys..

well tbh compared to all the other mainstream mmo's eve have a really small playerbase... that and its too hardcore for your average gamer.
