After some consideration and realization sparked by horrible stupidity in market analysts, I've had an idea.

One of the only places I've actually seen accurate console market analysis in trends (not exact numbers) has been on this site. When we actually are pretty reasonable, we do have a pretty good knack for getting it right. IDEA SPARKED.

I was thinking if someone wants to start it up, we could maybe start an analysis website based off discussion here. I'm sure a bunch of us wouldn't mind contributing reasons/opinions or editing/writing articles for it. It wouldn't have to be a huge weekly update thing, just every so often.

Might be fun...

just an idea.

Easy/cheap way to get views. Start a website, with a few of the more responsible for editors, and some of the good web designers here to build the site. Then start a podcast to get views to the site. We would also have to do other things. With this large of a community, we could probably get a mini-IGN/1up going if we have the dedication AND pre-planning.
And like that, he was gone.

But seriously, I'd love to be on board a project like this. The Pure Pwnage forums spark a lot of creativity in myself too, particularly from the infamous Console Wars thread. I actually registered the website gamerfanboys.com this morning based on a website idea I had from these forums.

If we were to do this. IF. We'd have to have a joint leadership of TRUSTED people on the forums who are EXPERIENCED and MOTIVATED. People would need to cut fanboy-ism down. We'd have to look at splitting it into sections such as PC, 360, PS3, Wii, etc. This thing can only work if we are SERIOUS about it and motivated. Also, we'd prolly either need another forum or another section in these icon_razz.gif

Before even starting, we'd need to get input from other members of the forums as well.
And like that, he was gone.

Cut down my fanboy-ism? =P *deep sigh* Do I have to?

Nah but for real, fanboyism is mostly a tool I use for debates. I used to argue heavily against the 360 for the sake of siding with the Wii. As much as I knock the PS3, I'll be getting one around Christmas or shortly thereafter for Final Fantasy for the fiancee (hoping for a boxing day deal like my 360 which came with 4 games). After that happens, I don't know what I'll do in the console wars threads =/
