So Osama Bin Laden is really a good guy? Or were you just looking at it from a one-dimensional, superficial perspective?
Before you compare to 1984,
THINK.

OMG I DIDNT THINK
but surely Goldstein was never a good guy, because he never existed, he was just created by the state to divert hatred to the government to that figure.

We never know if Goldstein was created by the government or not. Occam's razor says that he was indeed a member of the inner party who was later made a pariah for the purposes of the state. The book was probably real too.

so the US government is using oil, osama bin laden, and terrorism as justification for being in the middle east?
GOOD
it's better than having no justification whatsoever for fixing a place with fucked up political systems with no (or even backward) social progress. i'd say the reasons were good enough. colonialism made iraq a political mess. it's not gonna go away on its own.
as comparison, look at africa. what a retarded mess much of that continent is. i hope that one day, something big happens so that we can start dealing with the crisis in subsaharan africa. i'm not saying a terrorist attack or anything bad has to happen. *something* needs to happen there or do all these self-proclaimed "liberals" not care about the very un-liberating problems going on in africa??

Because just look at how well the new iraqi government is doing!
better than saddam hussein.... which nobody here probably remembers because either they weren't alive or was in grade school when saddam did most of his damage
anybody badmouthing profit from war isn't looking at the bigger picture. profit naturally follows peace and progress. peace takes work, work takes human exertion, and humans take money. we take those things for granted

You should start a thread about it. Or would it not actually exist? That's a pretty good argument for you not bothering to post ever again TBH.

I thought that in a modern government, you don't attack a country's government unless it has directly attacked your country or the country of your ally.

it wouldn't matter since we used oil and terrorism as justifications - and it seemed to have convinced enough people into supporting the iraq war. isn't that what this thread is about?
if china found reason that the US government was funding terrorism against china, they would have just as good a reason to declare war on the US as we did iraq

I'm tired of all this "we're there for the oil." talk.
If we were there for the oil i'd be paying $0.75 for a gallon of gas and not $4.75.

Bushy Babes says they are there to basically stabalise iraq, yet, if you look at the country before the Us "Invaded" it was nowhere near as bad as it is now. Just let the fuckers die off

iraq was ruled for 20 years by a government with zero political opposition and 100% political control. that government is no more. of course it's gonna be bad. it's called a vacuum.

If you look into it, Osama really had nothing to do with 9/11.
Hence why they never followed him or killed him.
The US government had his location and denied bombing him.
9/11 if you look at it with a open mind, all the facts, everything,
Once you put it all together the real enemy is quite obvious.
Just for those who have no idea, Mobile phones would not work on American Airlines back when 9/11 happened.
So every propaganda audio you have heard from people on planes is a lie. Fact.
I'll let you guys look more into it by yourselves.

Danoli3, I respect you, but you just came out of Loose Change. Now read some of the stuff debunking and look at stuff, you know, besides the conspiracy theories. Mobile phones would have worked, and many experts have come forth to testify that they would. Not to mention that they weren't all cell phones, many were actually plane phones and there were many drops in the cell phone calls. So are you saying everyone on the flights agreed to the plan, or that all the cell phones were perfectly faked, PERSONALITY INCLUDED AND WHAT THEY WOULD HAVE SAID, and that all those families of the dead who say they weren't faked are liars? Come on Danoli3.
And like that, he was gone.

Yeh cause its real easy to find a guy who is in one of the millions of caves in the mountains of pakistan / afghanistan, and who probably keeps moving from cave to cave (that is, if he is still alive).
