Apparently it's basically the same as the 360 version but comes with the "Bringing down the sky" DLC for free.
I don't have a 360 but I really think I'd like this game. Should I spend the money on it, etc?
Discuss.

Think Kotor, but less glitch and same inventory micromanagment.
Securom protection is dialed back (Penny Arcade), but Internet activation required for .exe (don't think its going the valve way, but these days, who knows)
Is it a good game? yes
Is it over-hyped? of course
Is it worth buying? we'll see

My feelings on Mass Effect were easily summed up in one word: Meh.
It's not bad, but it's nowhere near as good as most people claim.

The horrible copy right protection is no longer in place.
This version is superior to the 360 version thanks to completely redone controls, a completely reworked HUD, and tons of other upgrades for the PC version.
Must buy for me.

I own this game and it is really good, the graphics are even better on PC, the HUD and controls are smoother, and there is extra content. The entire game is voice acted(very well), and this really immerses you into the world and story line. You can just stick to the main story line and keep things going by choosing the middle neutral dialogue, or u can choose a good/evil, light/dark ,closedfist/openpalm, type of dialogue, and then there is also an investigate options wich lets you find out way more about the topic, the person, or more background story of the situation. The combat is true to the RPG players, it is not twitch gaming, you can bring up ur hud wich pauses the action so you can command ur group, change weapons, or cast spells. OH ya, and there are TONS of side quest wich are called assignments, and you can also explore the entire galaxy with ur ship, and go onto uncharted planets. Great game for any RPG lovers, casual or hardcore. Pick it up.

This arrived at my house today, generally so far I'm liking it. Looks like a keeper. I'd heard horror stories about the vehicle sections from console owners but while it does seem a little awkward at times, it rarely gets frustrating.

I do not get an acceptable frame rate by my terms so I will not actually be playing this until I buy a new gpu.
But so far, I have played a little ways through it and I like it, so hopefully I will be playing to rest of it soon.

I got it in a "not-so-legal" way. It is buggy as all hell but the times that I can play it it is awsome.
Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brother, I hurt people.

I completed it in like 10 hours.
That was because I was drunk constantly between when I posted last in this thread and now. Guess I'm gonna have to complete it again. :/
This time without missing the bajillions of other solar systems to explore.

The Downloadable Content is FINALLY out, along with the patch. It's only 2 months late.

15-something hours in, myself (not skipping the side quests and exploration!), and I love it.
Fantastic game.

I beat it thrice on the 360. I don't see why I would benefit from the PC version but if you don't have the 360 version it's probably worth it over the 360 version.
Fuck. The PC version better be $5 more expensive then.

The PC is definitely better. There is less texture pop-ins (big problem on 360 version), better squad control plus being able to assign abilities to hot keys, improved inventory management over the 360, plus it looks and performs better with the right rig.

I buyeded the PC version earlier this week off Play.com because its down to £9.99, which considering it was £26.99 until like, sunday, is pretty aces. So I snapped up that bad boy and have been playing it a wee bit today. I am enjoying it quite a lot, playing a renegade vanguard and so far just generally insulting and upsetting people
Voice acting is proper good in it, and gameplay ain't half bad. Takes a bit of getting used to the inventory though.
If you can get it off play.com, £9.99 is worth it for any game released in the last 12-24 months really. Especially one hyped about like this is. I just need cod4 to drop in price now and my life will be complete!
