Pole dancing is heading to the Wii along with a Wii pole.
May 06, 2008 - Peekaboo, a company famous for their range of pole dancing equipment has revealed their latest plans to create a pole dancing game for the Wii with a new peripheral, a Wii Pole.
"We are pleased to confirm that Peekaboo is in talks to develop a game for the Nintendo Wii that meets mainstream demand for the fun and fitness benefits of pole dancing". the company stated.
One of the most famous pole dancing kits from Peekaboo is the “Electra” evidently indorsed by Carmen Electra. When asked whether Electra would make an appearance in the title, the company denied all claims.
Peekaboo stated "With pole dancing classes springing up in gyms and health clubs across Europe and the USA, the number of women seeking the body-sculpting and fat-burning effects of this aerobic form of exercise has never been greater. Men and women of all shapes and sizes will be encouraged to work on improving their skills, with the firm focus on fun and fitness as per the core brand values of Nintendo Wii".
The game is said to work in a similar fashion to that of Wii Fit working with each player to help them develop their skills and become more active and healthy.
The company then went on to say "Peekaboo and its partners are focused on using Wii-friendly hardware to make aerobic pole dancing instantly accessible just as Guitar Hero did for rock’n’roll".
This future title for the Wii and eventually mobile phones is still in its developmental stages and does not have an official title or release date at this present time.
