Sounds like a good idea. It would be nice to have review links to each of the items listed, so people interested could verify for themselves that they are in fact purchasing a quality product.

Or a hot deals subforum like the Anandtech Forums have, that way users can share and not have to rly on a clustered/out of date/or unattended thread. I am not saying you will be any of that, but it makes it easier, can provide feedback for those individual deals easier and it puts less stress on YOU, the updater. Also, if you go AFK and no one has access, just kind of eh.
