My pimped out gaming system

I sat back in my chair a few days ago and realized that I've built a pretty pimped PC gaming system / multimedia workstation. It's not the latest and greatest in terms of the box, but my Nvidia 8800 GTS + Quad-core with 3 gigs of ram can run most games I play at full res / effects. It's the peripherals that make it pimped. In case you wonder where all of the PP magic is made, here it is:



The Samsung 275T wide screen monitor is about as big as I can imagine is comfortable to look at / fit on my desk. The MOTU 828MKII sound card connected via balanced 1/4 inch TRS to a pair of Mackie HR824s complimented by acoustic foam paneling provides an excellent stereo image / monitoring situation. The Ergodex DX1 input system is pretty sweet for PvP in WoW (not that I play WoW anymore).



My vintage Thorens turntable often provides the tunes to pwn n00bs by. Let's not forget the Razer Deathadder and Pure Pwnage competition gaming surface. Top it off with an Steelcase Leap chair and a cup of chai tea and I'm good to go for a night of gaming. It's better than some rigs but still far from perfect.

Awesome! And I have you beat, Geoff... 8800gt, 4 gigs of RAM, but I'm guessing you have the same q6600 that I have. Too bad I only do things on my computer that are far from the awesomeness that your rig produces.

The chief export of Geoff Lapaire/his computer is Pwnage.
Geoff Lapaire's discarded rolls of used film make flowers bloom where they lay, and bushes that produce berries which cure cancer and AIDS. Too bad he has never had to throw away something he has filmed. Ever.

And that first not-so-pimped picture made me lol. Especially the photo of the Asian dude on the wall.
