Yes its a well known fact Americans have too much to say for themselves. Like most countries, their government bullshits everyone as hard as possible and for the U.S. its worked very well.

Bah icon_sad.gif

Too much to say for themselves= Erm...I think you can understand that.

Bullshit (when used as a verb)= To fool/To lie

As hard as possible= alot

Is that clearer? Its the silly way I use English.

I will await further confirmation before writing a essay.

if u really thought i didnt understand your english, id be shocked

anyways, id like to u elaborate on what "too much to say for ourselves" means, and how this relates to our government's bullshit - and how precisely this "worked out well"

The phrase "Jealous of our freedom" sound familiar to you? Despite the fact that its total bullshit, its a perfect example of having too much to say for yourselves.

America was melded into a fiercely patriotic and somewhat fearful (of outside powers) place through similiar such "bullshitting". This allowed conflicts like Iraq to happen, and best of all for its to perpetrators to get away with it.

So there you go. Certainly no essay. And for the last time I genuinely thought you didnt understand me.

fiercely patriotic is a funny way to put it, considering we have one of the worst voter turnout percentages of any democratic republic in the world

i havent met anyone who was fearful of outside powers, ever since the collapse of the Soviet Union

is it bullshit that other nations are jealous of our freedoms, rights, and liberties!? i should sure hope so - if not, then i cry for all those people living in nations of poverty, warfare, and class-based rule, who have no ambitions of a better life. thats really sad, but im pretty sure its not accurate

I wouldnt measure patriotism with voter turnouts.

The second sentence is extremely debatable.

I was actually thinking more about the "they hate us because they are jealous of our freedom", my apologies.

as an american i can tell you that most people who live here don't give a fuck about this country.

no...no it's not. nobody here gives a fuck about you or your country...or any others for that matter. just because the politicians use shit like that to justify thier doings around the world doesn't mean a majority of people give a rats ass. most just care about american idol and other such artificial trivial bullshit.

so in short...yes...it appears do thoes of us who actually do knwo whats going on and are paying attention that you fuckers hate us for no good reason.

just because you think it's going to help you fit in and be more accepted by your peers.

truth be told most america bashing jackoffs have no reason to dislike americans or america, they just regurgitate the crap they've been fed without even trying to see our side of things. this is a great country, we do have a lot of freedoms which most of our citizens take for granted.

that being said i highly doubt the majority of the people i'm subjected to whiel shopping for essentials know enough about thier freedoms to think anyone could be jealous of them. next time someone says "you're just jealous of our freedoms" (even though i'm sure this has NEVER happened to you or anyone you know) feel free to ask them WTF they are talking about. ask them to name some freedoms they have that you don't.

when they can't you win.

if they do then you should consider moving.

i think you forigners take us and yourselfs WAY to seriously. we are just people...just like you. relax.

the guy who started this thread and his post in particular are a shining example of everything i just said, your misconceptions are also a good example.

EDIT: this thread has inspired me to change my avatar to something more "patriotic"

thanks for the inspiration.

Actualy, according to your own Goverments report, New Zealand has higher suicide rate then U.S .New Zealand had 21.0 per 100,000 males and 7.5 per 100,000 females, while U.S had 18.0 per 100,000 male and 4.2 per 100,000 female.

But you all are sissy compared to Finland, we top the charts with 31.1 per 100,000 male suicide rate! HIGH FIVE !

not only this, but New Zealand has the 3rd highest suicide rate of Young people. Naturlich, Finland shares the number 1 spot with Ireland.

So in reality, YOU are the depressed ones, Americans are the happy ones.

After years of observing drunken people, I can say that you are wrong. Alcohol DOES increase your happiness. (Finland has 2nd highest alcohol consumption rate in the world, High five again !).

1.I recently bought Xbox 360 and Halo 3.
2.After the purchase, I have enjoyed the game for countless of hours.
3.Clearly, money CAN buy happiness.

whats with this America Bashing? Why is money bad? And more importantly, what is bad about drinking alcohol?

Holy shit, have you ever seen the USA outside of movies? It's not that fucking bad, and we're not all money slaves any more than you are in other countries that are perceived as these happy, free, socialist promised lands, places such as Norway. My dad lived in Oslo (voted one of the highest living qualities in the world countless times) in the before moving here and prices are through the fucking roof, he could barely afford a small ass apartment while working for TOSHIBA! You think gas prices in the US are bad? And he is still paying back his ridiculously overpriced technical schooling. Socialism never really included taking care of his class you see.

Now here I am, writing this from my apartment on my campus, not having to work until I get out of school unless I want to seeing as how my education is paid for by the university on a full scholarship. I have an internship at a law firm, and in 2 years I'll be going through law school, set to be done at age 24, ready to pay my parent's back for what they have done for me. I party with my friends, play video games, chase girls, and all the while somehow maintain good grades.

My parent's belong to the lower-middle class, the kind with no connections to big schools or corporations, making just enough money to not get any kind of help from the government...I can just BARELY survive the money loving she-devil that is the United States. Oh wait, life is actually pretty damn good isn't it?

What I am trying to say, is that if I actually applied myself and worked really hard I could be fucking out of law school by now...in a Capitalist system like we have in the US, anyone can make something of themselves or be famous with just a little bit of work and innovation. We have it better he in America than we realize and we take it for granted far too often. When I was little I worried about where the hell I was going to end up but now I'm on the path to be exactly where I want to be and it wasn't even that hard.

What are you arguing about now? How does this relate to American freedom at all?

I said earlier that Americans are very loud about their freedoms; they are and I dont care what the above posters try to prove: If I have to read "The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either." again I may just kill someone. Stupid niave man.

Truth is we all sacrificed our freedoms centuries ago with the first civilisation. America is not unique from this rule. They like us accepted the greater good of society over our freedoms. And If we hadn't done this we'd still be grubbing in the dirt and dancing around the fire.

Too be honest I was just fucking rambling on about shit and forgot what I was even trying to prove and ended up in some kind of "we take the freedoms we have for granted kind of, we actually have it quite good mode"...rofl. Anyway the minimum age for the bar exam in California is 18, which is where I'd be taking it.
