So, I have recently been looking around for homebrewing my DS. I have to get the m3 card and all that online I guess. But my questions here really have to concern with possibly starting a business.

1. Homebrewing consoles: Installing mod chips, selling m3's, selling mod chips, etc etc. Is this all legal?

2. How would I determine a demand for this kind of thing in a town?

Those are really my only questions now... depending on how those are answered I could have more later.

TBH, you counldn't soley survive on that, if you live in a big enough town, you could open a pc building/pc part shop, and have homebrew as another section of your bussiness.

Go to local business, and offer to build computers alot cheaper then dell, hp, ect...

Well I see a few ads in the classifides section of the newspaper for stores that mod, so afaik, it's not illegal to offer it in a business. You might want to do a little bit of research into that though. As for determining demand, do some research. Go to a high school where there will be quite a few console owners and see if they will allow you to hand out surveys. Hand some out at your local shopping centre too. Get in contact with any games stores and see if they offer modding and whether they have a steady flow of customers wanting it.

It's not illegal to install wiikeys, sell R4's, and such

What is illegal is playing pirated games with them... which is their only feature.... and movies.

So really your like a website that is linking people to big torrent websites.

Not illegal, but close.

Good ideas. Also to the sole survive on this product stuff thing. I could also probably buy / sell / trade used games, console tournaments, and a few other things. I think that this would make an interesting business... I wonder if I could strike a deal with PP and sell their merchandise to if this idea ever came to fruition. I pwn noob shirts, boom headshot shirts, t bag shirts, I think that stuff would sell big in a store like this.

I am only 17 however so this idea won't come to be for a few years, and I'll definately take a few business classes in college to make sure I stay on the right track with this, but I think this would be an awesome job / store.
