many cocky TKD practitioners like steve lopez ( dam that guy is a bastard). I my self find tae kwondo useless on street fights, but its fun in competitions. For my self defence, I do thai boxing which i totally prefer over TKD.

you're a good man
man the kids i keep coming up against are just so naive. Like this one 16 year old snd dgree bb. First off he doesnt spar ever, but still thinks hes the shit and that he can beat anyone. Now i box and bjj so naturally i ask him if he would like to spar. his respone, "no bro i dont want to hurt you"
i almost killed him right there.

One good thing in tae kwondo is that, the belts doesnt even matter in competitions. Thats why i have stayed on my Brown belt for MANY years XD, cause im just into the fighting and cant be arsed to do the friggen techniques. Funny to be a white belt, owning a black belt in a tourney. Belts doesnt represent shit to me
, until they show me their real skill, ill bow.

I think tae kwon do is terrible for a street fight, not as bad as kung fu, butstill pretty bad if you got into a real fight, that's why I would take Muay Thai, or get a CCW.

Man, someone better tell Cung Le he's doing it wrong. Poor fucker, completely delusional.
So basically you're saying that several hundred styles of martial art are all inferior to...

to...
Taekwondo?

Well, Karate means empty HAND, and since TKD was developed from Karate, you guys should remember your roots and use your hands. I mean, they're on your body.
Well taekwondo means like the way of the fist and foot or somethin so like its in the name even

Me wants to learn some martial arts , then I just can walk around kicking people their ass!
Btw what's the most coolest/usefully martial art that exist?
Btw what's the most coolest/usefully martial art that exist?
Coolest is probably taekwondo or capoeira
Whether theyre useful is questionable
TBH, what sucks isnt the martial art. its the practitioners and teachers. taekwondo just has a bad name like all the 'popular' martial arts. just give it time and youl see muay thai and bjj be watered down with their new found popularity.

I was in the ocean and I had a frizbee, and some 8/10's were like THROW IT TO US and I just pretended I didnt hear them and swam quickly back to beach.

my main passion besides gaming is martial arts. im testing for a 2nd degree in american freestyle (karate, taekwondo, and kickboxing) ..even though im not really into those styles as part of my own style lol. im more of a mix of JKD, Muay Thai, and Gracie Jiujitsu (along with some Parkour)
in a street fight....i guess a Taekwondo man with the right attributes and if the style fits him could definitely win a fight. but when you point spar (like i have had done in tourneys) you lose that abililty to "let loose" in a sense, and you end up having muscle memory of just tapping your opponent rather then knocking him out. a Taekwondo point sparrer would not fair well with a mixed martial artist who would come past the legs, couple punches and knees, and take him down. so ideally....Taekwondo does not cover all aspects of a street fight, so would have a lesser chance of winning then some other styles who train more for street fighting scenarios.
if you are in martial arts, or want to get into martial arts, pick a style that fits you best (strong legs, quick hands, strong back, etc..) and work on that. and like Bruce Lee's philosophy "Take the best, leave the rest", take what you need from other styles, morph your own style, and whatever helps you for winning a street fight, train and go for it
my little rant lmao
Jeremy: Turns out, they don't care if a guy plays games...they only care that he pwns...

Who did you train under in BJJ? who in Muay Thai? Who in JKD? You must be a pretty old guy to have learned all those styles. Learning six styles takes a while.

I agree, these rules shouldn't be implemented into tae kwon do.
It should be put into stuff like karate, or boxing.
This is usually the case when I went to karate classes anyways.

well as I know (although I havent done TKD for a few years now) Punches dont count for points in the official WTF comps. And usualy before in comps the most important thing you needed to win a match my way of points was speed, just really fast kicks that dident need much power hiting the scoring areas, If there is a minimum force required to score now that might work against the people that have been training in TKD for competition purposes mostly instead of self defense training which focuses more on high power hits and debilitating or KO'ing your attacker...
OMFG is dat some on topic post!?!?!? NO FKN WAI

Tae Kwon Do is not a martial art, it is a sport. As a self-defense it sucks, it is almost completely reliant on kicks, it should be phased out and become extinct.
Guns, Gold, Ganj, & Ammunition.
